This is the story Melvin the Moblin.

The Kingdom of Hyrule is under massive inflation due to the invention of the lawn-mower, so in order for Ganon to pay his minions a living wage he has to lay off an entire bonus dungeon. This includes the mini-boss: a Moblin Knight named Melvin. So Melvin goes to the employment bureau. Since his only skills are killing he's offered a job as a protagonist. So he sets off on his new job to find the Triforce and slay his old boss.

Gameplay:
There are going to be 9 Main Dungeons and 2 optional dungeons. One of which is a Super Dungeon called Dan's Labyrinth.
Dan's Labyrinth is an entire map in size and is split into 14 sections each with it's own heart piece and special item, if you have the right equipment then you can hop between sections and you can also steal keys from certain sections and use them in others to bypass item requirements.
The other optional dungeon will be unlocked if you beat all 14 bosses in Dan's Labyrinth. This dungeon; The Chaos Temple, will be the hardest in the game and will net you the Gold Ring.

Current Progress:
Woodland Grotto: 100%

The story and the fake ESRB rating are great. You just need to make sure that you don't use overused midis and throw in some unique puzzled into the dungeons. It's a good start I'd say!
Also, whats a farce temple?

Farce:

1.
a light, humorous play in which the plot depends upon a skillfully exploited situation rather than upon the development of character.
2.
humor of the type displayed in such works.
3.
foolish show; mockery; a ridiculous sham.

Also the dungeons so far are pretty much, generic square room with stock video game puzzles and random enemies, I plan on changing it up with the sky, farce, and shadow temple, because they wont use the normal square rooms

I have a rabbit named Melvin. His name was originally Melody because we thought he was a girl, but then he impregnated my other bunny and...well, that's a story for another time. icon_deformed.gif

Interesting! I'm digging the title screen (?), too. Keep up the good work!

I'm thinking of scraping the dungeons I have completed and making them more interesting than just square rooms with generic puzzles, like making the Forest Temple an actual forest with like temple ruins in it, and making the Fire Temple small platforms on an entire sea of lava

What do you think?

But DoR is prettier ;_;
I could teach you how to use it, if you like.

Heck, even GB is nicer.

I know how to use DoR, but I don't have enough patience, if I end up using a custom tileset I'd use Pure

(Sorry for the double post)
I started the entire game over with the pure tileset, since square rooms aren't interesting

Bumping the topic to say that I finished The Forest Temple and I uploaded two screenshots of the Dungeon

I gotta say that making this temple with the new tileset was really fun for me.

Looks promising, screenshots look good too. Just be sure not to make the same mistake (my first time making it looked soooo detailed I imaged my other dungeons looked terrible) and over do your Forest Temple with detail that way your other dungeons don't look bland in compassion.

Good luck looking forward to see more! icon_smile.gif
