I cannot seem to have rooms inside tile warps, no matter what I do I end up getting it on the screen as opposed to a cave/item cellar. does anybody know what I'm supposed to do?

First, place down your tile warp on the screen, such as a stairs combo. You have to pay attention to what the combo type is. For example, Stairs A, Stairs B, and so forth. The letters match up with the warps from the Screen dropdown. Once your warp is on the screen, go to Screen->Tile Warp from the menu at the top.

A window will pop up that allows you to edit the tile warps. Make sure that the warp you're editing matches up with the combo you placed. So for example, if your combo was "Stairs A," you should edit on the tab that says A. Next, select the type of the warp. If you're trying to warp from one room to another, "Insta-warp with blackout" would probably be the easiest, since the other warp types all behave in specific ways. You can see a list of all the warp types and what they do here.

Next, set the DMap and screen you're warping to, and which warp return to use. Make sure that you place a blue warp return square on the screen you're warping to, which matches the letter of the warp return you set.

Once all that's done, press the OK button. If you have "Show Screen Info" enabled from the View menu, you should see some text in the lower right of the screen that has the warp information you entered. You can also use the "Go" button in the tile warp editor window to test that the warp goes to the right place.

I hope this helps!

I'm sorry, I didn't explain what I mean't well enough, I want to make special rooms inside of caves, like the sword place in the original Zelda.

In that case ... Go to Quest->DMaps. Choose the DMap with the warp on it, and on the Flags tab, make sure and check "Special Rooms and Guys are in Caves Only."

When you set up your warp like I was describing above, use "Cave/Item Cellar" as the warp type. Then, under the Screen dropdown menu, choose your Guy (such as Abei for a sword room), message string, and room type. If you're wanting to give an item like a sword, choose the Special Item room type, after which the grayed out "Catch All" option will change to "Special Item," where you can set which item you want to give away.

Caves use Screen 80 on the current map too. Be sure to create that as well if it's empty.

Don't forget to make them bigger on the inside.
