The holidays are awesome, hopefully in that the spirit of happiness and giving is alive and well, for the most part. I celebrate Chanukah, but can appreciate a good ol' mirthgiving when I see one, or at least an effort to attain one.

Celebrated with my father's family yesterday, and my immediate family today. Twas riveting. Things went fairly well, and I got to spend time with family members I don't often connect with, which was really nice.

So far, I've managed to get about two hours of sleep on the account of me an my brother watching almost all of Gurren Lagann this morning (meaning, from something like a little past midnight till about seven this morning) to spend some time with him. It was worth it, though.

Later, we're going to my grandmother's place for dinner as per to every year. Usually my uncle would come, but he isn't this year, so it's just my household family and my grandmother. I look forward to this every year, especially since we're having the meat pies her and I made earlier in the month. XD

It's been a pretty good day for me, as I mentioned in the Christmas thread in OtBP. Had a fantastic dinner with my family tonight, and in a few minutes or so, we're gonna sit down and watch that version of A Christmas Carol that came out last year (the one with Jim Carrey) with our new Blu-Ray player. Maybe the Family Guy Return of the Jedi special as well, if we're up for it.
