System Error, I think discounting a shot simply based on it's tileset is not a good reason.

Well, it is so true that Pure is overused. What I was trying to say that pre-made tiles are not SoTW quality.

That's not your call, as it's not your contest. If you don't like the way we do things here, choose not to participate. Not everyone has the time to create a set for a quest, and those that do, usually don't enter contests.

Plus, before pure, there was newfirst, classic, and BS. No one complained about them being 'overused.' So, if you don't like the pure set, don't use it and don't play quests with it. Just stop complaining about it so much.

Fact is, I don't see you doing much better. (not intended as a flame. Just my personal opinion.)

You know very well he wasn't asking you to trash the shots. He was asking you to explain why you said what you said. Just saying "they suck" doesn't really give anymore explaination than "boring" does. Apparently, you should read the announcements in this forum as there's a new rule that was added before this competition started and it's been mentioned a few times in this very thread.

So... before you tell ME to read posts, you should read around yourself. kthnx.

I think I'll vote for Nick's shot. They are all good, however Nick's is just colorful and nice to look at and has no flaws what so ever. (Not implying that the others do, which they don't.)

They will more than likely benifit from it. And if they can't handle the bad with the good then they shouldn't be entering this contest anyway.

You can trash the shots all you want, but you have to have a good reason to do so. For example:
"Ccc's(not picking on anyone) shot looks like total crap, because his statue's colors don't go well with the palette he's using, and the grass is way too bright."

This almost seems sigworthy. Almost.

Phil, you've got your own motives for dissing a shot. You may not like the shot, and no one can stop you from disliking the shot. And of course, you will have adverse feelings toward it. Heck, so do I. But you're More than welcome to suggest things for the shot / shot creator than to randomly trash them because you think they're boring.

So thank you Phil, for your participation in the contest. Your posts are appreciated, as well as your suggestions on how to make them better, if necessary. Flaming them, however, is not appreciated. I'm sure you know what I mean, eh buddy?
