For anyone who saw the image I posted in the spam thread, I apologize. I am using Adblock, which disguised the image as a nondescript picture of Megaman which I tried to post; I had no idea it would turn inappropriate in any way for anyone without it.

If you didn't see it, consider yourself extremely, extremely lucky. Again, my sincerest apologies.

Ah jeez, now you've piqued my curiosity as to what the image actually was.

Was it by any chance related to that same image? Because a quick Google search yielded a rather disturbing and NSFW edit which I cannot unsee.

It wasn't AdBlock, that site just doesn't allow hotlinking. You didn't see it because you had the real picture cached already.
Safe way to avoid that: find images in one browser, post them in another.

That's good to know; I didn't want to have to inspect AdBlock.

It was this. I do understand what Ebola was talking about though... it is truly disturbing. icon_frown.gif

Anyways, Ebola, seeing as it wasn't really your fault, I don't think that you had to excuse yourself, but it was nice nonetheless icon_smile.gif

Yeah, I was one of the unfortunate people to have seen it. I thought you had gone insane or something. O_o

I took one look at it, I didn't even see it in full, and just quickly scrolled down to the next post. So I didn't really see all of it, or get a good look at it at all, but man, that was just vile.

When you see enough vile, there's a critical point where you just stop caring, and accept it for what it is and move on. Not going to let an image rule me in a moment of horror. Then there's the logical and reasonable component behind it. If someone in authority posts a single incident of such horror, there's bound to be a logical explanation behind it.

I agree, most internet users are somewhat jaded, because at a certain point they've seen enough shocking imagery that they're numb to it. I barely get a reaction out of seeing something obscene, violent, or pornographic in passing anymore, and that itself quite frankly horrifies me. It strikes me as totally wrong. But at least the internet hasn't corrupted me as much as it could. Who knows what it would take to shock a /b/tard, for example.

^ The passing of a law stating that it's illegal to own a website named 4chan, despite it being on a server in another country.

That wouldn't be very good for them to hear.
