Intentionally no enemies.

 

Did something we never had to think about this last year and enabled "Fairy Heart Circle Centered Around Link" quest rule. (Assuming there's no opposition?)

 

Point to consider: in the desert, we have some inconsistency between whether the top halves of 2-combo-tall objects are walk-under (layer 3) or not. I prefer walk-under, so I put mine on layer 3. But I still made sure the screen was playable if decided otherwise, so we should come to a consensus on this.

 

Dear Lord, this is beautiful. I want to go to there.

Just a little idea I had to take care of the last Greenhaven entrance. While the other 3 are stairs to a lower level, this 4th entrance is meant to be inside the narrow wall we see on the overworld.

 

New DMap 27 "Greenhaven Storage," same Level (12) and other settings as Greenhaven, single screen placed on Map 37 because there are no Warp Zone entrances here.

 

However, that's not the main point. The main point is a big transparency update.

 

So it ends up being true that ZC does transparency by calculating what the proper color should be, then picking the closest match in the available palette. Most of the time, this isn't a close match at all. However, by taking the transparent fog tiles and layering them on top of a map image in a full-color Photoshop document, then taking the layered colors and plugging them back into ZC, you can essentially match proper 16-bit transparency.

Also yes, some sprite palettes have been expanded to account for this.

 

Furthermore:

 

* The additional colors revealed a number of instances of people using blacked-out layerable rocks for rock shadows rather than the actual rock shadows themselves. I believe I've caught all of these, but let me know if I missed any. (For reference, the shadows are directly below the secondary-colored rock overlays, currently combo 2012.)

* Duplicated standard OW CSet 9 to Graveyard palette (was previously blank).

* Updated a large amount of DMaps to include all rooms on minimap and "...but only show screens marked on minimap" for spacebar map. (We really need to get good at not forgetting this.)

* Assigned Sword Grotto DMap Level 15.

* Created "Minimal Items" dropset for Ghini Phantoms. There's actually 5 items, but the nothing chance is rather high (80%) and there aren't any significant items in the set.

Decided to add another fairy fountain. Turns out having water and lava in such close proximity means there's a lot of steam to go around. :P

 

Also, I'm sorry to see it done, but Lit Landing is complete. Let's move on to Underlit Cavern now.

So, the quest file seems broken. I'm getting major slowdown, wrong solidity, and random warping bugs that lock me up in an inescapable loop.

This warp at the beginning didn't send you north like that at first. The framerate is also hit, and there are random warping bugs.

Can't even get to my screen to take an in game shot. :c

 

Nevermind, it seems to work for others. Probably just some ZC derpery on my end.
