This will solve our big problem of where to discuss this.

Discord threads later.

UPDATE 3/18/2022

Just got a clean playtest on New Quest using the party system (using a Level 3 cheatcode for now to insert the items)

Especially asking oldbies who have completed New Quest 2013 (since this New Quest "2022" is vritually a carbon copy with the party system installed):

https://youtu.be/jxcducIsuKo

I have some hard questions:
1. Do you think LInk needs a buff (like a slash or spin slash) to keep up with James and Zelda?
2. Do you think the characters "in general" are getting horribly broken, or New Quest is just outdated?

Haven't gone into inventory reorganization yet.

UPDATE 3/19/2022

https://youtu.be/jKCnZP9EQZ0

1.  Did a full run of the 1st Quest, Link has the Slash now, James has Def +, Zelda disables Statues and has Arrows +,

2.  Added RPG Numbers, added the New Quest subscreen to the 1st Quest prototype to clean things up a bit.

Opinions? Here or Discord please.

UPDATE 3/22/2022

Prototype 6 went very well. Sadly, due to the limitations of the 1st Quest, I think that version of the prototype is going to end there. I'll fix bugs when needed, but it's essentially done the job.

Prototype 7 will resume in New Quest and will start subscreen and item position revisions. This is where the characters will truly feel different (and possible hell for me balancing)

Some notes:
1. Started a swapping positions subscreen system: A scripted subscreen is not totally out.
2. While the character balance is better, most people prefer Link to have his spin slash, even among oldbies. It's certainly very feasable for Proto 7 or even 6F.
3. I posted a very reasonable speedrun time of 44:21 without any potion use in Proto 6. For those interested in speedrunning a ZC quest, Proto 6 is a good candidate. I think the adjustments help balance out the glitch removals.

More later. May post Proto 6 in demos when it goes final just so people get their mouth watered with the expected mechanics.

UPDATE 2 3/22/2022

Prototype 6f is being put out for everyone.  It is a finished version of the 1st Quest prototype.  The subscreen switching of Prototype 7 and above will be New Quest and above only due to the complexity and needing stronger monsters/room layouts to test enemies (plus getting hard to track things)

As far as new features added, Link can spin slash now, James can't slash or spin slash.  Zelda remains unchanged.

Everything else is unchanged since Prototype 6.  Will be posting the video shortly.from the original Prototype 6.
