This was just released. Two of the three guys who made Missing Link made this (Zel, and Kaze). You play as Fox, but it is really an OoT hack. The premise is, you have to survive for 30 days, and get randomized items, and stuff. I haven't played it yet myself, but I'm about to try it now. I figured people here might find this interesting.

You can grab the patch from Zel's release video, but you will need to have your own version of an OoT 1.0 Big Endian (.z64) ROM to play this. Better instruction are in the video description.

Interesting premise, although 'survival' stuff isn't exactly my cup of tea. Still a neat idea. The gameplay reminds me of Star Fox Adventures.

So I've played a bit of this (about half) and it's a bit of a let down tbh. The tl;dr is, it's quite repetitive and unstable with frequent crashes. This can be circumvented with save states though.

I thought it was going to be 30 unique rooms. Also, some of the enemies behave oddly. Baris appear under platforms, There's Tailsparans that you have to tank to kill, and I got a crash when opening a chest, after getting two randomized blue rupees instead of useful items.

... As I was making this post I found out there's a new patch that fixes some of the logic, and crashes. It still seems kind of simple, and you go through the same room 30 times. I have to say, I expected more from the guys that made The Missing Link.

When I saw the teaser, the music and atmosphere made me think of Zelda (specifically some sort of Majora's Mask sequel or spin off)... Not this, lol. Not that this is a bad thing, Star Fox Adventures is a pretty overlooked game IMO. That said, I think this looks pretty fun and impressive on a technical level (I haven't given it a go yet) but it's definitely not my cup of tea.

The Missing Link on the other hand, I'm surprised there wasn't a topic for it. I'm more interested in trying that out (which I haven't D:).

I should mention the good stuff too though. It is cathartic to fight wolfos, lizafos, and dodongos and pretend this could have been what Dinosaur Planet may have been like. The three rooms do look good too. The idea itself has a lot of potential as a fun little randomizer but it just needs more room variety, and better thought about some of the enemy combinations, and item rewards.

Also uh, this might happen to a Fox near you:

Spoiler

If you like fighting OoT enemies, and messing around, it's a good hack.
