Hi obake-san,
 
Congratulations for release of ver 1.0.
I've played ver 1.0 and finished Level 7 almost, and let me tell you glitches I found so far.
 
 
1) Ganon's room in Level 7
Link suddenly becomes invisible and you can hardly beat Ganon.
According to #25, it's intentional, so CAN'T you find how to prevent that in this quest? 
 
2) Level 5 in Past
If you get the silver arrow before stepping the button to lower the statues, that button doesn't work anymore and the statues are never lowered.
 
It's already reported by Useless Oldman Wisdom (#20) and seems not fixed properly. A backup of savedata helps you.
 
3) The house in Present 16
When you visit the house with a purple roof (after killing wizards), you are stuck in a upper-left corner. F6-continue helps you.
 
4) Caves of money: Present 58, Future 08
You can see the money, but can't approach them because of tables. Or can you get them with something?
 
5) Future 3D
A strange color tile is there. (Not a big problem)

I'm not sure I should remove invisible Link, but it's just a screen flag. Otherwise, the fight with Ganon is completely trivial. What I will do is hide that one unused item Amulet 2 that makes Link visible. With the new version, if you're stuck trying to kill Ganon, you can go back to the Help Cave for slightly more than advice. The item serves no purpose anywhere other than the Ganon fight. Item not available in Hard Mode.

 

That level 5 issue is getting annoying. I thought I had it fixed, but I guess I missed that. I resorted to the fallback setup, which works no matter what, but has a more noticeable map glitch. Even if you got stuck, this new arrangement should be able to get you unstuck.

Purple house is fixed.

The table has been moved so you can pick up the secret money at both locations.

Fixed the mis-colored tile.

 

My last addition is for v1.1, hard mode. It's just a second qst file with additional or harder enemies on each screen, and slightly less favorable rules regarding self-damage and clocks. Link's Decision 1 (2007) had the same thing, two qst files. I'm already most of the way through it, so it will be out by the end of the week. Meanwhile, the quest's site has a download link for v1.0.1-beta that has all the changes noted above, minus hard mode.

 

By the way, I noted in and out of game that the thief is a little less linear. The walkthrough has a section for the thief on the page where it describes the four classes. It shows the hidden paths the thief can take, like getting the Mirror Shield immediately after choosing the thief (but getting it before Level 3 isn't easy).

Okay, version 1.1 is complete and submitted. This includes the fixes, along with Hard Mode. I recommend against hard mode.

Hi obake-san, thank you for your fixing and response.
I'm afraid I keep annoying you, but anyway, let me tell you what I found.
 
1) The new item in Help Cave, which is for invisible Link in Ganon's room
I'm sorry that it doesn't work actually, Link stays transparent with keeping it.
But it's ok, because I could find a very simple strategey to beat Ganon even though Link is invisible.
 
2) Secret dungeon 2 & 4
On the full map in the walkthrough, Secret 2 (near L-5) is called "S-4", and Secret 4 (near L-4) is called "S-2".
 
3) Secret dungeon 3
The clue in the second house includes an incorrect direction :)
I don't know whether it's intentional or not, but it may be no problem, because it's easy for players to find and correct that logically with comparing the clue and the map.
 
4) Abondoned cave (I need help)
I've done "the gilded statue all four secrets" things and seen all the  victory screen of them, but one of 4 walls downstairs (the right-most one) is not lowered.
Could you please tell me what to do?

Any other bugs, let me know. I'll be releasing an update soon.

1. I guess that item doesn't do anything. I can change the help cave to advise something about dealing with invisibility for the fight.

2. Fixed

3. Fixed on the walkthrough, will be fixed in game.

4. That means secret 4 didn't get triggered correctly. I need some more information to figure out what went wrong.

Everything's taken care of. The 4th report there is actually working as intended, you're missing something. I fixed a song in one area, and fixed the warps in secret-4 (which were easily bypassed with F6 when necessary).

 

New version v1.2 posted on PureZC. I have a youtube trailer for the game that's mostly done, but it's like 3 minutes long. Once I finish with that, I'll upload this new version on PureZC.

Well, new version has been posted. There's no difference between the v1.1.1 from the quest's site and the v1.2 on purezc. Any more bugs, let me know.

I found a major bug. I was in the Future village. I went to the cave at the top. In the first screen, I approched the giant rock stuck to the wall on the right. I was then sent to a black screen with four Keeses. If I exit north, south or west, everything is fine but going east, I get sent to the bottom left corner. If I go left and down, I can get out but if I only go south, I am sent to the Present in the village where there is heavy rain and I can't get out.

If this happens to you, exit the black screen with four bats on the south side. That will get you back to the correct screen.

 

I knew about part of this, but leading to the future makes the bug a little more serious than I thought. I thought it was just an annoyance thing, and didn't realize you could get stuck. I'll send you a little more specifics on how to get back from where you are stuck. I've been marking down bugs where I can. It's just that and a typo in the castle so far, but I'm also tracking a bunch of bugs in my previous two quests. I'll see about getting a new version of this one out tonight or tomorrow.

New version 1.3 is submitted. It usually doesn't take long for the staff to approve, but if anybody needs it sooner, you can download it on the quest's page. File will be removed once it's posted on PureZC.

Fixes:

Aforementioned bug about the warp in the future cave in the town.

Somebody in the castle says "care" twice in a row.

Hookshot grab signposts in the past islands didn't work in one area.

I don't know if anybody here watches Let's Plays. I do not. But that didn't stop me from making one for this quest. At least didn't stop me yet, it's still in progress. I've been talking about why and how the quest is, so maybe like a director's cut. The lack of things to say will catch up to me eventually. It probably already has.  Regardless, I'm plodding on with it (and most of the way through the game), and it might as well be a speed run considering how fast I'm getting through it. And for anybody who got stuck on Secret 4 Lost Woods, once it's done in the let's play, the answer will finally be added to the walkthrough.

I made a Thief Special video. In case anybody wanted to see for themselves how to get the Mirror Shield immediately after getting the Hookshot, literally only an hour and a half into the game, and the Flippers immediately after that. These are supposed to be the last two items you get in the game, since level 6-3 has the last bomb upgrade. I didn't follow the walkthrough instructions exactly. I went into Level 4 to get a few keys that were much easier than the keys in level 6.

Copyright claims was something I didn't expect to get. Really? As far as yt is concerned, some no-name European "artist" holds the copyright for the Zelda 2 Temple Song? Aside from many of the Zelda games, this song is also in most of the Smash Bros games (not sure about the 1st smash). 

 

One more important thing. I'm going to do one more update, so any more bug reports would be useful. Nothing important, just a few inconsequential things. I'm also going to fix Link's Decision 1, which hasn't been touched since 2008. Not just fixing the fatal flaw, I have a list of other bugs for it. I'm also going to add some music and a short walkthrough.

The Let's Play is complete. My run is just under 15 hours, which is very fast for 100%. But, now that we're past it, there are two last additions to the walkthrough. The End of Game section was still marked as incomplete. It needed the final aspect of the time travel story, which was not mentioned in the quest, and Secret 4.

 

Analyzing time travel - This page now includes slightly better organization, and Link's story during the game, but most important is what the White Mage (the guy at the start) did. Did the White Mage lie to Link about the Tears he collected? And why did we avoid any talk of a paradox in a time travel story?

 

Secret 4 Lost Woods - The solutions and full maps have been added to the walkthrough. The Let's Play for this is almost an hour long, and involves me solving each part of this on paper (a spreadsheet file) with no guesswork. I do not recommend watching it, because it is long and boring. You can if you're interested in the logic behind it, but if you were stuck at this part, just find the solutions on the walkthrough. Be sure to download the latest version of the quest. Playing this quest in ZC v2.55 messes up the solution to the final part, explained in the walkthrough. FYI, the other bugs with ZC v2.55 are with the superbomb. with secret money caves, both in the player's favor, and the secret sound in one location.

 

Version 1.4 is released. In this one, I added some more text at the end of Secret 5, so the game finally explains a little about the time travel. I also added two rooms to the Coin Cave increasing the prize money a little, and added hidden money in each dungeon. Hard mode is a little harder, Secret 5 boss issues, and some minor graphical glitch fixes.

 

Last, I'm still fixing the bugs, but I'm getting Link's Decision 1 back to playable. Right now there's a lot of bugs, including that prevent you from beating the quest. I'm not redoing or adding anything to it, just taking care of the bugs. Well, I did add lots of music, all from NES games, but that hardly counts as adding to the game. But that update is coming soon.

Really. I made a music video, like an AMV except with footage from this quest. Why? I figured, the song Istanbul really does work with the town. The song is about how Istanbul, Turkiye (Turkey) used to be named Constantinople, and this quest has a town that you can visit in the present and the past. A little on the nose, but hopefully only at first. And I already had the video from the long and boring Let's Play, so why not. I think this really is the best possible use for unwatchable footage.
