Windows: http://www.shardstor...401-windows.zip
Mac: http://l.j-factor.co.../ZC-250-rc2.tgz
Linux: http://www.shardstor...02-linux.tar.gz

Despite the name, this is more like RC1.5. We know there are still bugs that need to be fixed; it just didn't make sense to leave RC1 as the latest build, as some of its basic functionality is badly broken (particularly the ladder).

That is great! Finally, I found the great, perfect version for my quest! Thanks so much, developers for releasing this! Now that the ladder bug is fixed, more people will download it.

Agreed. The ladder bug is why I would usually use Beta 18 to play quests unless the quest maker used RC1 to build it. Hopefully this build will put an end to that.

Thank you SOOOOOO much developers ! Being a programmer myself, I know how much of a pain in the ass it is to go back through huge blocks of code to fix bugs. That freakin' Ladder HAD to be fixed though and you all get a great big hug from me!

Have a big slice of icon_cheese.gif icon_toast.gif as well!

to confirm, it still needs Snow Leopard, right? those cat names are silly and confusing. pretty sure my Mac 10.4.11 won't be able to handle the thing.

Just a small question. Is the bug with the screwed up keyboard fixed ( [ = nothing ] =[ \=])? If so then I'm downloading and upgrading from beta18. icon_wink.gif

Yes King Harkinian, it's fixed!

On another note, I think I found a glitch.

I put the Mirror Shield Link tiles as 8-bit, with a transparent background.
But, when I give Link the shield, there's a pink box around him, and one tile is screwed up. Can anyone help?

And oh! I just noticed! ZC or ZQ doesn't make my computer use the Windows 7 basic layout anymore! icon_biggrin.gif

That's AWESOME! Not the mirror shield glitch, but the fact the keyboard is right and no more, a program changed the layout to Win7 Basic! Downloading....

No, the keyboard thing isn't fixed. I'll try recompiling Allegro when I get my VM working again, but for now it's the same.

I don't know about the Mac version. _L_ will have to answer that.

I have no idea why that would be different... I wonder if it could be a compiler thing? I don't know what _L_'s using.

...Dang. Oh well, at least it's better than RC1.

Edit: Wait, the keyboards acting JUST right! I don't know if it's because I'm running XP instead of Win7, but everything on the keyboard is working like it should....icon_confused.gif

It doesn't? That's weird... it still does that for me.

As for the keyboard issue, it only seems to manifest on some systems running Windows Vista/7. I posted some code in the bug thread at AGN that should fix it (in its current state, it would only work right for those experiencing the bug, but it's a start).

I noticed the frame rate fluctuating between 50-60 fps with this build, but I worked around it by launching ZC so that it runs on only 1 CPU. It's probably something to do with my hardware.

Did you guys get to testing 8-bit Link with the Mirror Shield on? Or is it just me? icon_frown.gif
