Joel - Not the most interesting screen you will find, but it is of sound design for what it is.

Rocks4Free - So the intent here is to use a ledge to split the screen into three parts, inaccessible to each other from that screen.  The goal is easily achieved, and I think the ground details are successfully pulled off too.  While the ledge part is narrow, the screen doesn't feel crowded.  Kudos for managing that.

ywkls - My vote, because it was the most interesting screen of the three for me.  I don't get to see an ice dungeon all that much.  Both the tile usage and attention to detail are pretty good.

 

 

As to the conformist/nonconformist concept being discussed in the posts above, here is what I think...

 

The best of screens are not concerned about whether or not they conform to what other people do.  You do what you simply like to do, and make the best of it.  Too much emphasis on conforming, or even the opposite, not conforming, places restrictions on what you really want out of your screens.  It's okay to look at other peoples' screens for ideas, at least, but I wouldn't exactly call that conforming.  Everybody at least needs some sort of inspiration.

 

Okay, enough of that from me. :P  This can easily make a SotW topic drift into something completely different, as much as I enjoy the conversation.
