I did so to a certain extent but the results were... to put it bluntly; bad.
Now that Vintage Dreams is out and my scripting skills have significantly improved; I decided to take another crack at it.
Shortly after I started, it was suggested that I should either reimagine the original story or alter it to fit the changed appearance.
And from that, this was born.
Story Synopsis:
It is an alternate timeline.
Long ago, the island of Koholint was part of Hyrule.
However, cataclysmic events related to the struggle of the Hero of Time caused it to be cast asunder and set adrift in the cosmos.
The people of the isle are watched over by the Wind Fish, whose dreams can foretell the future.
One night, a young girl named Marin is awoken by a noise outside and rescues an emissary of the Wind Fish.
She is told that a threat to her home exists, which also concerns many other realms.
However, an artifact of the royal family of Hyrule rests nearby and once retrieved; she can use it to gather the eight Instruments.
Journeying forth, Marin finds the Ocarina of Time and takes her part in the struggle against the Nightmare which wants to place the Wind Fish in a slumber from which it will never awaken.
Gameplay:
The plan is to recreate the world of Koholint with some differences.
The trading sequence will differ, for one.
Also, all dungeons and bosses will be new for this quest.
Other secrets will be added as they are devised,
You will gather a number of items which will allow you to explore further and defeat various foes.
At least 9 dungeons will be included.
This quest is currently being rapidly developed. Expect a playable demo with actual content early next year.
In the meantime, visit the 2019 Expo to download the tech demo that shows off the items and scripted subscreen.

Well... this sounds like an interesting undertaking. If you need a beta tester when that point comes, I'll gladly lend a hand

Work on this quest has shifted into active developemt.
Already much work has been done crafting script and setting up areas.
My current plan is to release a demo after I finish the first dungeon.
Speaking of which, it is time to discuss the dungeons.
Here's a list of those along with their currently planned items, locations, mini-bosses and bosses.

Levels 1-5 will be one floor each with level 5 being entirely sideview.
Level 6 and 7 and 2 floors each with the first ice themed and the second fire themed.
Level 8 is 3 floors and level 9 is 4 floors.
I've also finished hiding all the collectibles around the world
Expect to find 10 Blue Keys for 10 Blue Chests, 36 Heart Pieces and 20 Secret Seashells.
I plan to release a demo once the first dungeon has been constructed.
