The pink area reminds me a little bit of Magicant from Earthbound/ Mother.

 

Nice maps though. The pink might be a bit bright, but the shape of the map is very good.

The only gripe I have is that I don't really think the trees fit the EZGBZ set very well. They look like they'd be more at home in a highly detailed set like DOR or Koten.

@Sans: The pink is overbearing, and removes the uniqueness of the Sakura trees. And I personally think the trees wouldn't fit any tileset really. You have an interesting layout otherwise.

 

Your lava map is definitely nicely designed, and I think it's the best version of the two. My only two suggestions is making the lava more varied (there's a variety of bubbling lava tiles there!) and removing the strong whites and making them more yellow. I'm more forgiving about the red, but if you can somehow provide another colour for this map, that'd be great as well.

It looks really good, albeit maybe a little bland and lacking in ground detail. The graphics are nice, but I feel like the 3/4 view (or sideview, depending on how you want to look at it) tree clashes a little bit with the more top-down graphics you're using elsewhere in the map. maybe try to make it look like you're looking at it more from above?

I'm working on them. I just used the NES tLoZ entrance trees as placeholders.
