First off, happy new year everyone! Hope you all had a good night! Map of the Year 2017 will be coming along shortly. For now, here's the next Map of the Month competition!

Demonlink

Marunna Graveyard, the resting place for the village's fallen. Legends speak of a powerful alchemist, wielder of a great source of magic, and the village guardian. A tomb was made in his honor and resides in the center of the cemetery. Rumors go on that the soul of the alchemist never died, and remains alert to any threat who wishes to interrupt his eternal rest...

Anthus

Obligatory map from a project that will probably never see the light of day.

Yloh

Link has to traverse through sludge in this 2D stage.

Shoshon the Elegant

Level 1 - The Satellite

Joelmacool

1/4 of the entire Overworld done  :)

Matthew

From a two week quest contest. I haven't finished the quest yet. (but hope to soon)   :)

A lot of great maps... it was between Demonlink and Matthew but Demonlink's palette won me over. Regardless, both flawless maps and you should both be proud.

This is a big turnout for MotM, wow.

I think my vote would have to be for Mathew's. Like I said before, the fact that GB still looks great with no color is a testament to how well it is designed. Then, you have a good users use those tiles to make a good map.

The other GB maps are also really pretty, but I like the shape, and flow of Mathew's more. Shoshon's is really nice, but I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of purple water. Ywkls, design wise, looks fine, but the tiles leave a lot to be desired. I'm going to assume these are placeholder tiles, and you are showing off the shape of the map more than the tiles here.

xD Well the blue water is meant to be the normal water colored area.

The red is blood.

And the orange is a tribute to Eddy's Fanta Sea from Legend of Link.

So I'm not sure if others have this issue, but I noticed Matthew's map just broke on me and won't show up anymore. I'll try and see if I can get that fixed up as soon as possible, so sorry for the inconvenience!

Confirmed, it's broken for me too. The others still show up.

This just proves my long running theory that PureZC is secretly anti-original GB graphics.

Just fixed up Matthew's map with a new link, hopefully things shouldn't break now!

Voted Matthew because navigating that map is the most interesting, the others are rather straightforward and direct, connecting rooms seems to connect in every direction. In Matthew's you have to work your way around.

EDIT: Also some of the others entries have repetitive screen design.
