ZC 2.5 has been in development for awhile. The betas out now (2.11/2.5 betas) give you some thought into what awesomeness is in store for ZC. icon_w00t.gif

Do you mean like LTTP in that the rooms are bigger than a screen. If so, than no. It's really complex, and slated for after 2.5. But there is some knock-your-socks off stuff. Check out the beta forums at AGN for more info. (Okay, sneak peek here: Roc's Feather!)

NOBODY knows, dude. It's up to the Devs. icon_unsettled.gif Personally, there's enough of an advancement over 2.10 that they might as well just fix up the current bugs and release that. Wouldn't hurt. Though, they've probably got even cooler stuff planned on it, so it's probably best to be patient. icon_wink.gif

I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, dude. Didn't you see the " icon_wink.gif "? icon_deformed.gif

Still, 2.10's good enough. I decided to make a quest in 2.10 to burn time while waiting for 2.5, and it's a big quest, not a short one, so it'll last me enough time. If you really can't wait, then you should try making another quest, as well. icon_biggrin.gif

Scripting like as in that really complicating script thing in RPG makers

Yes, only slightly less complicated, and entirely optional

It's probably MORE complicated for a few reasons, but, obviously, it ceases to be nearly as complex once you get the hang of it. It's currently somewhat simple to make a script that, say, looks at your maximum hit points, and sets your current HP to that maximum every few seconds, or better yet, milliseconds. Good for those days where you just happen to be strolling through a fairy pond. Yep.

The latest betas aren't that unstable, as far as I can tell. They can be found at www.shardstorm.com. Just realize that anything you save in these versions cannot be opened or played in previous versions. You can only open an old quest in a new version.

No, we don't know when the next version of ZC is coming out. Stop asking.
