As some of you know from IRC, I got a new laptop for Christmas! In order to celebrate the fact that my sound is working and I have a functional computer for the first time in years, I've decided to try out Cinnamon instead of GNOME 3.

The wallpaper is the same, but the layout is much more of a traditional desktop style (I'm not sure I was ever fully sold on the "modern" look, though I can switch back anytime). Aside from some graphical differences, I'm finding that Cinnamon is a lot less bloated than GNOME 3 and overall the computer has been working much smoother. I've been toying around with themes for hours now and I should probably go to bed.

I've got my background cycling through random pictures in a folder every 30 seconds or so. When I went to grab a picture, this was the one that was up. Always cracks me up. X3

@SpacemanDan: LOL, that's not really street legal.

 

 

The other day, I tried to use a Pikmin 3-themed wallpaper, but I couldn't see the text on the icons well with it, so now I'm using the one where the Alien and the Predator are playing chess.
