The has been a barrage of feature requests lately.
Point is request a built in feature the proper way.
If any of the following is innaccurate or correct,
.. please think of this document as the how it was originally planned to be carried out.

--=-= The History of QSU Files =-=--
A long time back i provided a development proposal for ZC to DarkNation.
It was called QSS at the time. Later this evolved into QSU.
The subject matter of the proposal:

QSS would be a nonencrypted, noncompressed format for editing QST's in.
QSS would have scripting for things ZQuest would otherwise not support.
QSS would be free for anyone to write a 3rd party frontend for manipulating a QSS,
.. however it would still require ZQuest to convert the QSU to QST for use in ZC.
QSS scripting would allow most feature updates to be done thru taking script from QST/QSS demo submissions,
.. that depicted the use of the script under every sort of condition in every sort of situation.
In this manner ZQuest could be updated wth new features without needing to update ZC,
.. as it would only need to be updated in order to have the script be built in using the normal interface,
.. and no longer show the script in the QSS,
.. however the script could still be hand coded by the user without interference.

--=-= How to make a proposal now that ZScript/ZAsm is public =-=--
Theoretically 95% of the updates to ZC/ZQuest in the past year and a half were done using a preliminary version of ZQuest/ZAsm.

Now you can simply script the new features, and provide the QST and QSU to DarkNation
.. if he feels the feature is worth making built into ZQuest,
.. all he needs to do is reroute the interface of ZQuest so the script is hidden,
.. with the appliability of the feature integrated into the interface in order to weave in the script as needed.

--=-= With ZScript/ZAsm will will now be able to design new features such as =-=--
--= Link =--
Link is Boss Size (SmashBros style)
Lose Control of Link (Yoshi's Island style)
Bloody Footprints (Duke3D style)

--= Swap =--
Multiple Party Members (EarthBound / Maniac Mansion style)
Link Turns Into an NPC/Enemy/Boss (Final Fantasy's Ailment style)
Change Control to NPC/Enemy/Boss (Messiah style)

--= Death =--
Contextual Death Sequences (Prince of Persia style)
Quest Failure Cinematic (Warcraft style)
Quest Continues Beyond Death (Deathmatch style)

--= Inventory =--
Any Item In Each Hand (This has been possible ever since ZC 0.86, just not possible to define using ZQuest in the past)
Item in Hand Spawns NPC/Enemy/Boss (Doom Chunkgun style)

--= Bosses =--
Defeated Bosses Drop Another Boss (Windwaker style)

--= 3D =--
Prerendered Parallax Layers (Resident Evil Zero style)

--=-= Summary =-=--
I will explain more on how to script all of this in the current ZQuest the future.
Perhaps you can think up your own ideas for new built in features for now.
Just try scripting them first and submit them in a QST/QSU to DarkNation.

Why is this not stickied?

Because it's not true. This guy is a total poser. He says HE made the format, but not even DARK NATION HIMSELF has any idea what this guy is talking about.

Dude, chill out on the flaming, Matthew. You might wanna recheck the rules on flaming. It's a suggestion, since I know you know the rules. It'll be good if you edit it to make it non-flamatory.

Now I know nothing about this, so I don't really have a good answer for this. Ask DarkNation-AG himself about the info here...or another like koopa or jman if possible.

My verdict is this is quite suspicious. I have no idea if it's genuine but I'll need proof before I believe it.

Keal's other post http://www.purezc.co...o...c=27219&hl= in GD is even more so.
