So fun fact. Most of you probably didn't see the placeholder ending in the demo. That has been fixed.

The first Beta is now available. This adds most to all of the bonus content.

Quite a bit of quality of life changes have been added. Let's just say... the Lens of Truth is a bit more useful, assuming I did a thing everywhere I needed to. Also, some changes to make the Old Man Hints a little more varied. That is, unless you decide they need to spout meme-worthy text. Of course, they could always spout "Placeholder", which would be a bug. Just in case you see that...

So, one new option is to start with "any" weapon. This puts a heavy bias on starting with a Special weapon. However, you still have a chance to start with a Sword, usually because the logic had no where else to put it. If you somehow start with a normal weapon besides the Sword, like a Wand, then you hit the jackpot! I can't even calculate the odds of that happening, but it is possible under VERY specific circumstances.

There are also a handful of new Special Weapons. Many more will come later, I just wanted this beta out so most of the screen design is finished (as well as fixing the end screen bug).

For those who want as many of the items as possible without having P Bags everywhere, either 2 Worlds 4 Dungeons or 4 Worlds 2 Dungeons are the ideal options for length right now.

The beta does lack one useful thing... there is no clear clue to access the bonus content. I won't spoil much, but let's say I made a vanilla ZC item that is generally viewed as useless used for exactly ONE "puzzle". You might be able to guess which item it is, the logic does place it a little earlier now.

The next big thing is the Final Dungeon. That is most of what the next beta will be, including how the logic places the way to it, the actual dungeon, scripted boss fights, and some sort of ending. Since this is the only screens to make, it won't take as long and I can focus on additional quality of life improvements, more items, more quest options, or finishing off anything else I've started.

As such, suggestions are great, I'm still at the point I can make slightly larger changes without breaking something.

I am playing the previous demo before this one , does this mean i have to restart?

 

Nevermind downloaded that file and started it over again...

Can you add the Key Items option like you did in the Mirage Randomizer? I want to be able find all Key Items in the overworlds.

Seems like secrets are already revealed on the overworld. Is that intended? Or just part of the unfinished process?

If I'm not mistaken by what this is referring to...the clue that is there really should be clear enough.  I was able to figure it out, after all, and I've needed help with some of your others.  Mind you, a lot of the bonus content seems ... empty; though that may be because I tend to go at the highest dungeon settings, you might want to save more specifically for the bonus dungeons.

 

My only real 'suggestion', right now, besides the comment on bonus content:

I miss some of the ways you hid 'secret' dungeons, in the past.  A good example was BS Randomizer's "Tree Territory", and another is Outland's "You Broke It!"  It just feels like you're trying to make everything...well, TOO random, and it's hurting your quests, some.  I guess whether or not this is truly a bad thing is in the eye of the beholder, but I feel like you should not be afraid to make some secrets locked to specific locations, while others can be more random.

 

This is just my two bits, though.  You can take it as you'd like.  I'm just suggesting that you don't limit yourself.

Just a reminder - don't use Farore's Wind in a cellar; it can warp you to strange places.

I feel that there could be many more items added in the coming demos, as I thought when I accidentally found the bonus overworlds - all of the items are placeholder P bags. I assume that's what Ryunaker meant in the above comment.

I Think Distant Overworld & Parallel Outlands will include Elemental Levels from BS Randomizer. & Maybe More Lost for Some Areas in Lost Overworld & Others for Distant: Eagle, Moon, Manji, Snake, Lizard, Dragon, Demon, Lion, E, A, L, D, Z, Cap, Flail, Whip, Bomb, Whistle, Jar, Rupee, Fairy, Bow&Arrow, Ladder, Raft, Hook, Feather, Gleeok, Pendant, Compass, Trophy, Heart, Spider, Clock, Gamble, Meat, Tunic, Flame, Tornado, Boulder, Waterfall, Spear, Grail, Cane, Mallet, Bracelet, Star, Axe, Bell, Bait, Cross, Key, Magic Jar, Boot, Medicine, Glove, Hammer,  Lost BS Levels, Lost Collab Levels, Lost Expanded & Outlands levels

It's been delayed from testing some other ideas, but progress is being made.

 

Really, I just need to finish the Final Dungeon and all related scripts. However, I do want to add some more items to reduce the number of dud P-Bags in the higher dungeon counts. So my current development is split between the last dungeon, and updating the weapon header to support newer weapons I created in my Fall Expo Demo. As said header is also used in Mirage Island, there is a good chance you'll see an update to Mirage Island in the future with the update note "Added more Extra Weapons", which will mean the header has been successfully updated and tested in MI. When that update happens, you can assume a new Beta for Omega will be coming soon.

 

In addition, there are a few suggestions I'm looking into. An option for a "Swordless Mode", which places all the Swords as bonus content, and adding one more secret in said Bonus Content.
