As some of you may know, I have an island in my quest which is shaped like a goomba. Inside, I've got a bunch of goomba enemies. The basic one is something that does pretty much no damage, and takes one hit to kill.

I need ideas for other goomba enemies, especially a boss for my mini-dungeon.

Most of them will likely be goomba-themed clones of other enemies anyway.

Technically in SMB3 they were also known as Mugger Micro-goombas, so that would fit right in.

If they can't be hurt with stomp boots, you're doing it wrong. :P

Also, I suppose an enemy with Pols Voice movement could function kind of like a para-goomba.

If my quest used the stomp boots, I'd make all of them weak to it.

I was considering doing a Mario quest at some point which started you off with the Roc's Feather and Stomp Boots.

If this is limited to one area, with Goombas, you could have it use stomp boots only on that map. :thinkdorm:

You could have regular walkers be goombas, then have a rope type be a "fast goomba".

Paper Mario had those stone Bald Cleft enemies that are kind of like rock Goombas (Hammer weakness, maybe).

Thing is, I don't have the roc's feather either.

Paper Mario had those stone Bald Cleft enemies that are kind of like rock Goombas (Hammer weakness, maybe).

The player doesn't (have to) have the hammer yet at this point, but I was thinking of making rocks/boulders with a goomba theme.

Make a Patra enemy with a bunch of little Goombas around it. :)

Much better than my goomba gleeok idea, where the main body is a goomba and each head is also a goomba.

Although, unrelatedly, One could resprite gleeok to a guy with four dogs or something. Would be interesting.

This requires using scripts, but there is a script that allows you to make giant enemies. Use one of these scripts to make giant goombas. You can even have them split into normal size goombas when defeated.

https://www.purezc.n...=scripts&id=113or https://www.purezc.n...=scripts&id=115

You could make the hyper goombas from Paper Mario. Without scripting, I would make them more like ropes. With Moosh's Newbe Boss script, I would give them the charge attack.

https://www.purezc.n...=scripts&id=269

You can make the flying goombas from Mario 3. Make one that moves like a vire. Make another that moves like a bat.

You can make goombas with the spike helmets that are immune to the stomp boots. Maybe up their attack and hp as well. Also make hyper versions of them.

While not a goomba enemy, you could have a goomba that, when defeated, transforms into Zoroark. Here is the reference.

https://bulbapedia.b...roark_(Pokémon)

You could use the goomba in the boots from Mario 3. Just make them move like polsvoices or vires. When defeated, they are out of the boot.

You can use tanuki suit goombas that will turn into stone and back again. Without scripting your would make 2 enemies. One is the goomba with the tanuki suit and the other is the stone goomba. Both of them will have tribble as their death. They will just tribble into each other. The stone goomba will be immune to everything and have a walking speed of 0.

You can have a mama goomba with a bunch of baby goombas move like a lanmola. This could also work in patra form as suggested by Jared.
