Okay guys, the staff has decided that they wasn't going to support an official Map of the Month just yet, but they also said that it should keep me from doing it myself.
So here I am, starting it up.

MotM will take place once every month and will work just like SotW.

There is some rules that you have to obey, ofcourse... Let's get down to those:

Rules:
1: The maps HAS to be more than four screens. However, there are no restrictions to how big it can be, but please, try to be a little restrictive.
2: ALL the screens HAS to be ''finished''. That is, it has to look finished. If you submit a map, you CANNOT protect your map by saying that ''oh, the screen in the top left isn't finished, so don't rate low because of that!''.
3: NO disrespectful or pornographic material will be tolerated. This may not be a very common thing in quests, but if your map does hold something like this, do not submit it. Don't just ''censor'' it either.
4: Captions are allowed, but are not a ''must-have''.
5: If you have a caption, please refrain from foul words or anything like that.
6: ONLY one map per month.
7: Each map can ONLY hold ONE type of area. That is, one map CAN hold a full overworld, with fields, forest, deserts and so on, but it CAN'T hold a field/desert/forest/etc. ALONG with a cave/house/dungeon interior. All screens HAVE to connect in some way and you can't have four random screens from various parts of your quest put together as a ''map''.
8: ALL maps HAS to be from YOUR OWN QUEST! You CANNOT take a snapshot from someone elses quest, even though you credit them.
9: Do not put anything on your map. That is, no cencoring, no marking. Only clean maps are allowed.
9: If your submission doesn't follow these rules, your submission will be sent back to you, asking you to change it.

That's all the rules I can think of, at the moment, really.

Please send your submissions to me IN A PM.
If I can't post MotM one month, I'll personally forward all submissions to Joe123.
But this most likely won't happen.

The first MotM, will be posted some time after I've got a few submissions. After this, ALL MotM's will be posted at the beginning of EACH new month. There WILL be a MotY too, which will start around January 1st.

Have fun!

Submitted one. I didn't go cheap with a 4 screens big joke, I sent out a maximal size monster. So, come and join!

Also, are dungeon/cave/misc maps allowed? You forgot to reply for that in the PM.
(Misc area is like the Nightmare in LI: one area, but no proper border between screens, etc.)

Oh, yeah, all types of maps are allowed, as long as the map is only from one area. That is, you can't post an overworld map, and include a cave interior in the same picture. Get me? I'll add it to the rules.

EDIT: Changing my post entirely.

Would I be allowed to submit an entire 16x8 Overworld map, as long as it was considered "one area"?

Anyway I love this idea.

Submitted.
For future reference, are we allowed to mark up our maps (as in, show where warps between rooms in the dungeon go, specific secrets, etc.)? I ask this as my map has both of those examples in it, and it might be hard for people to follow the map without them (although my map's still pretty hard to follow, even if it was marked up).

Well... No... I don't think that would be a good idea... (adds to rules)

If I had a complete map, I'd give this a shot, but as of now, I've got nothing really presentable. Oh well. I look forward to seeing everyone else's maps. icon_biggrin.gif

Don't expect anything NEW from me though...
But anyways, there's still room for more, guys! If you've gto a good map, why not submit? icon_razz.gif

Nope. As long as it's a map, it's okay! icon_razz.gif And btw, if it's a dungeon map, be sure to make it so that there's only one dungeon in it, and not all of level 1, with a little bit of level 2 in it. Okay? icon_razz.gif

I'll join in by sending one as soon as I finish Eternal Garden. It's only nine screens big, but it's really detailed so it's taking awhile. I might have to wait for next month. Probably not, though, since Migo only posted this topic today. See you then. icon_smile.gif

Does this mean Migo will be promoted to a Contributer?

No, since it isn't something the PureZC Staff officially support, but rather something Migokalle is simply doing independently, much like The Satellite's two week contest.
