... Not sure how much the ZC and Marvel communities intersect, but it feels like probably a non-zero amount.

This show is sort of blowing me away, tbh. I went in with the lowest of low expectations. Honestly, my first impression was that it was just a Marvel money grab. In addition to that, I've really never loved Vision as a character in the MCU. I liked Wanda alright, but she definitely didn't feel compelling enough to warrant a TV series prominently featuring both characters.

HOO, geez. I was wrong. Like, super wrong.

The show is witty and fun and heart-wrenching. Elizabeth Olsen is absolutely killing it, displaying such a wide performance range in each new episode. Every time the credits roll, my partner and I find ourselves shouting at the TV, desperate to see a little more, then scouring the internet for the latest fan theories.

So, uh, anyone else?

I too have been watching WandaVision, and I've been loving every second of it. I'm like you in regards to shouting at the TV when the credits roll, mainly because the episodes feel too short - but this isn't really a complaint; longer episodes are only something I'm hoping for when each episode comes out.

I did like the characters of Vision and Wanda in the MCU, but I felt like they didn't really have enough screen time despite both being important parts of the overarching story. So, the show really did help with this, and even introduced pretty nice possibilities for further character development. I've always been a fan of Marvel, but this show is actually such a big step up in terms of creating a story with so many levels of depth... it's actually quite refreshing since the movies were typically pretty one-dimensional in terms of plot (but still very fun to watch).

I'm very much excited to see the conclusion for the show, and I'm probably even more excited to watch the other shows coming out later this year (I'm looking at you, Loki).

For those who haven't seen the show yet, I suggest you watch it! It's pretty good for both those who like depth in their shows as well as those who just want to enjoy the ride.

Been keeping up with this myself. I didn't think I would be that big of a fan, but its exceeded my expectations. I've never speculated this hard about the plot of anything MCU related (closest thing in this regard was Infinity War and Endgame before they came out).

It's also been interesting to see my mom's reaction to all of this. She grew up with a lot of classic sitcoms, so she's been pointing out what each episode's era is based on.
I do think though that the endings of episode 5 and 7 may have left her somewhat confused and I had to explain some comicbook stuff. I do get the impression that there is some parts that may confuse some casual viewers. I imagine it would be even worse for people who have seen little to no MCU movies prior or people from certain countries or age groups who are unfamiliar with what sitcoms the show is paying homage to.

Yes! Before WandaVision, I think I would have fervently disagreed. But, as you said, it's such a fresh take on Marvel. And it's such an interesting example of how TV can be used as a meaningful art form.

I would be shocked if Falcon and Winter Solider achieved anywhere near the same level of depth as WandaVision? The trailers were...not good. But I'll be happy if they prove me wrong again. :upside: Loki def looks interesting.

Haven't watched today's episode yet but eager to catch it after work!
