What am I supposed to do here? I hit the coloured switch in the previous room but it does nothing. Which also seems to be an issue for the whole dungeon itself...

Just have the red color barriers down if you want to complete this screen

But that's the thing. I put them down in the last screen, but they go back up when I leave it.

Trying it out on all three versions. They all work fine. 

What ZC build are you using and did you update the qst.file?

I'm on 2.50 Build 28. And I did update the QST file. The last one had that overworld problem with the Day/Night thing for me.

 

EDIT: Updating ZC to Build 29 didn't do anything either.

 

EDIT 2:  OK I kept the version where the overworld didn't work and whatnot, and the dungeon works properly in that one...

East is first. The rest, follow the direction the numbered tombstones are in. For example, the direction of the room with two tombstones is the second direction to go.
The lone tombstone is the first direction to go, but since north resets the puzzle, there was another clue to go east instead.

 

What the hell do you mean by "the direction of the rooms"?

 

This puzzles really annoying the hell out of me...

 

Nevermind... it's the exits that you have to pay attention to...

Here is a diagram of the 1st floor for Cerebral Sanctum. Here is what the dungeon already tells you:

  • "North is the exit" - This is the exit of the Maze Path, the direction that sends you back to the start.
  • "The lone red tombstone points east" - Because North is the exit and not the first direction through the maze path, east is the first side you want to go through in the maze path. From there the other tombstones are pointing in the direction from the center of the maze path.

Thanks for this... Figured it out a slightly different way...

 

Got a couple more questions.... Im still using the sword I got at the start of the game. Is there a sword upgrade?

 

Also, just beaten the final boss... whats the deal with the ??? house?

 

Can't seem to beat the room with the red/blue switches.

There is a sword upgrade, completely optional. You must collect all 10 Lost Fairies.

 

That area with the red/blue switches:

  1. Have the red barriers lowered to open the door
  2. Have the blue barriers lowered to reveal a treasure chest
  3. Walk on the red barriers as they rise so you reach the treasure chest

You just need to circle around the rooms in order to complete it.

I pretty much guarantee that this is due to using an old save.

 

If anyone else experiences this problem, please inform me, but I think it's because the variables are no longer in the same order.

i need tips on jumping sideways for icecloud. and I guess I need something to complete cerebral santium? like fire arrows or something?

There are rare occasions where you would want to jump sideways in Ice Cloud Castle. The best tip I can give is once Link is midair, then move him with the direction keys. That can help him land more precise. 

 

When you say 'complete Cerebral Sanctum', I assume you are already in the dungeon. In that case, you would already have the Fire Rod by this point, while there is another item in the dungeon that helps you complete it.

@Joki I never decided to add one. Mainly because there are only 10 fairies, none of which are located in caves. Compared to Heart Pieces where there are 20 of them, some of them located in caves, I figured the Heart Pieces should have its own guide. 

 

I can PM you a list of all the lost fairies though.
