Does anyone else get super bored when just ripping sprites and animations into separate files and saving them? Like here I am, ripping many custom tiles from a sprite sheet for Mario and I just can't handle the repetitiveness and tediousness of the task. Anyone else get like tired and irritated doing stuff like this?

Oh yes! I would suspect that we all suffer from this affliction.
If you want to save some pain, and you do not know about this:
Try holding the alt key, and pressing the arrow keys when selecting tiles in the tile editor. This will save you considerable time, versus setting up alignments in PS.
It's also wise to create a 8-bit palettes to use in PS that closely matches that of your quest LPalettes.

When you mean tile editor are you referring to PS or ZC? I don't use ZC so the involvement of ripping tiles and sprites consists of taking it from a premade tileset, moving it into a separate file and saving it as a single image then I can import into my engine, it's tedious but works. I stay away from sprite strips because I usually run into errors of having extra space within the file that doesn't help the animations align correctly.

can that be done in GIMP as well?
