For the record, I installed 1.90 on my XP system, and both ZC and ZQ run. I don;t know if I would have sound issues, but you probably found your best help above.

alright! this is turning out a lot better than I thought. if y'all would check in here to this thread occasionally, that'd be great. I do expect folks to have sound issues. I haven't heard MIDIs in 1.90 since like 2004. I'm not sure why that is, but it may be a common issue and not just me (I thought it was just my system versus the software). maybe that counts as the software's major bug.

here's your first assignment, class: a wallmaster used in the overworld will take you to...
a) ...the overworld starting spot.
b) ...the last place on which you entered the map.
c) ...somewhere else (please explain).

feel free to take this thread over and use it for your own 1.90 questions or whatever.

the goriyas will always throw the medium boomerang even though it only goes the lesser boomerang's distance, right? any ideas on that "issue" to share?

I'm almost positive their boomerang distance stays the same always.

You mean his L.1 boomerang? I know the boomerang sprite they use matches the one you currently have.

alright, here's one:

if you use too many strings, you can no longer edit/see them in the selection menus. see any of my quests for testing. the edit codes are all 723. for Sticks And Stones, I want to set up a level nine triforce check screen. I believe that needs a string in order to work. I don't want to use one of the existing strings. what can I do about it?
