I collect 4 heart pieces in my quest, but my max hearts do not increase. I went to init data and made sure that I have to collect 4 heart pieces in order to gain an extra heart container, but still, nothing happens. I collected 8 heart pieces even, and nothing increased in my max health. Help is greatly appreciated!

The heart pieces appear, of 'course, and when I collect 1, it shows it in the screen menu as a quarter of a heart. Then when I get another one, the heart is half, and then so on. When I collect my 4th. heart, the heart container in the menu screen disappears, as if I collected the amount I am supposed to collect. BUT my actual health doesn't increase! I had 5 hearts, and then I was getting my 4th. heart piece, and my health stayed at 5 hearts total, when it should have went to 6.

Do hearts appear where the circle is?

Yes, that's where my heart life appears. But the heart pieces I collect are shown in the screen menu when you press, "Enter". When I collect 4 of them, my heart life doesn't increase. :\

OK, go to Quest>Graphics>Tiles, and the first tile should look like this:

with both the top heart and the bottom heart looking identical. Is that the case?

Yes, that's the first tile, and it looks the same as yours. But what do I do next? I do get extra heart life, just not from heart pieces. I can get extra health if I get a heart container from a boss, but not from heart pieces. It should have something to do with the item.

Are you using a beta of 2.5? If so, then it might be a bug in that version...

It's not the version-I just tried it out. What tileset are you using?

Well, it's the version with the white noise static decorations. The download said something about windows-901 build, but the person that linked me it said it was version 2.11.

Anyway, I'm using the original LoZ tileset. Nothing fancy, since it's my first quest I'm making.

OK, now I'm confused-Are you using 910, 901, or 2.11? They're 3 different things.
If I were you, I'd stay away from the betas, as they tend to do weird things. Like not fill in hearts . But if you must, try Beta 887. That one seems stable enough.

Well, if it's one of the three, then it's 901. Are you sure the heart piece thing doesn't work on 901? I'll try beta 887 and let you know if it works. What version are you using?

Good ol' 2.10 and Beta 887.

EDIT: And may I mention that beta 901 is particularily buggy.

Could you link me to 2.10? I don't see it on the page you gave me.

EDIT: Okay, it has nothing to do with the version I'm using, because I just tried 887, and I got 4 heart pieces, and the same thing happened. It didn't increase my health. What's the deal?
