This tileset was announced at the Zelda Classic expo this year. For more, specific details check here. For a more simplified description and additional information, check out the project's description. This tileset project seems to have garnered a bit of attention and positive reception so I figured I'd keep everyone up to date on progress via this project page.

Anyway, to reiterate some of the things that have been said thus far: Lunaria has been doing a lot of work especially with the scripting end of things making sure there are a lot of pre-packed Gameboy Zelda features for people to use without much hassle. The tileset will also feel less cluttered and more organized but will also contain more sprite work both custom and some ripped that were missing from the other various Gameboy Zelda tilesets available. No more bright palettes and resorting to sprite csets as there will be plenty of custom palettes to choose from created by Lunaria and myself. So I guess it's fairly obvious this isn't just a simple conventional tileset and we hope you look forward to this!

One thing that we decided to add are title screen graphics! A element that was missing from the previous Gameboy Zelda tilesets. We even made one for the tileset:

It's about time a tileset came with a decent titlescreen

This is looking very nice so far, and the title screens look superb. The colors certainly do look much more accurate than previous iterations of the GB sets. Overall, it looks very nice, and something that I certainly would use!!!

Since I wasn't able to find a discussion site for this tileset I am going to pose my question here. Namely, I wonder whether the tileset works properly in the newest ZC alphas/betas or wether it is strictly limited to ZC 2.5. With all the scripts in place etc. I can image that problems ought to arise with newer features or reworked features. Any developer opinions on this or any user's experience?

Some scripts will not compile in 2.55 unless you fix some issues in the code. I believe once 2.55 is done we intend to update the tileset with it, so you probably have to do 2.55 support yourself for the time being. Same with 2.53 for the record.
