Welcome to SotW 709. Surely that's a milestone in some language. I'll be filling in for Shoshon this week, so hopefully I don't bork anything. This week, we have three entries :D

Three nice shots!

Joelmacool: It's a nice, green forest shot. Feels mysterious. Shadows are nicely applied. I think the bottom half of the screen could have been utilized better, but that's just me.

Binx: Simple and pretty, though with the lack of other creatures, it feels a tad barren. It's also a little hard for me to visually interpret the cliffs on the bottom of the screen. If not for the plateau at the top-left, the lower cliffs would look like a pebble-filled dirt patch.

Dimentio: Ooh, moody! Looks like a miserable scene—just like how being caught at the ports during a rainstorm would feel. There's so much more I want to know about this screen and the area. Voted here.

Yeah... The cliffs are a bit of an issue, I'm working on them. Tried thicker borders, but it kinda clashed with the other walls cuz their borders are all 1 pixel wide. Unfortunately, due to space issues, I can only have corner tiles with layered cliffs, so the cliffs have to be squared off. As far as the lack of enemies is concerned: yeah. I actually only even made the shot to get the contest running, so I just didn't think of adding enemies. Haven't even decided *which* enemies are going to go in that area.

It was between Joel and Dimentio who both had fantastic, fun, atmospheric screens. But I went with Dimentio because the setting is really unique and done well.
