The UDF Development Group is excited to announce the release of the Nayru's Odyssey Definitive Edition 2.55 Update!

This update effectively amounts to a total overhaul of the entire quest. Of the fifteen dungeons in the original release of the Definitive Edition, nine have been completely replaced and the rest have had major updates. In addition, the progression has been altered substantially, with the overworld secrets totally rearranged and the dungeon order opened. Almost every boss has seen major updates and the quest's soundtrack has also been changed to feature more unique and fitting tracks. There is also new story content featuring the expansion of threads that were introduced in the previous versions.

To be clear, even if you've played NODE before, this is functionally a new game. We have made substantial use of the new 2.55 features, pushing the combo editor in particular to its limits. In fact, due to how dramatic the changes are, we've also included in the download the 2.53 version of the quest with just a couple of bugfixes, for historical preservation.

As this thread is also intended as a help thread for this version of the quest, I'll reiterate the updated hints from the quest page here:

• Find the Truth Crystal in each dungeon! The wall tiles serve as puzzle hints and guide you toward the solutions.
• If you're stuck on where to go next, a hint cave near where you get your first sword updates after most major dungeons.
• Most upgrades are hidden around the overworld, so be sure to check suspicious areas and backtrack to unfinished locations for more gear.
• The compass is your friend - it directs you to an important room in each dungeon!
• If you've played the previous versions of the quest, don't rely on your past knowledge! Even if something looks similar, it's almost certainly been changed!

This was alreasy an excellent quest, and now it became even better. Сongratulations on the release!

So, I've obtained the Tome of Truth and traded it for a ring with a wizzrobe leader. Then the Tome shoved me a vision of wiz leader placing a book in a chest.
Does the vision have some in-game significance? Or is this the end of post-game content?

I think I found a game breaking bug However, I don't know how to actually replicate it:

In the Gauntlet, I found three keys. Luckily, I had saved before. If you only have three keys and try to use them in the room with the big chest, it will drain all 3 of your keys and the lock blocks won't open. I restarted the game twice; the first try did the same thing and the second actually worked as intended. I did a third restart, this time actually finding all 4 keys and using them normally. Not sure if it's a quest or ZC bug, but I thought it's worth mentioning.

Okay I went in and took a look, and I think this is potentially an engine bug with combo editor lock blocks.

I was easily able to replicate it--the issue isn't with the number of keys, but the player's position when interacting with the lock block. If you stand halfway off the lock block to the left (it works correctly on the right side) and push into it, it starts draining your keys and plays the sound, but doesn't trigger the ex-state that lowers the block. This also means it can happen on the third block, but not the second.

Pretty much. There might be one more thing (if you didn't use it already). If you head back to the Black Tower after killing the final boss and talk to the NPC there, they will give you a full description of completion (and give you some extra spicy lore). If you need more info on what the final NPC's hint is referring to, check the most expensive hint in the Lost Woods info shop.
