Just announced earlier today:

 

 

Hopefully this'll be more far-reaching and inclusive than the 2015 ones, which, while fun, kind of defeated the point by just inviting in celebrity guests. And also using team-based games instead of individual competitions. But still, this could be neat. Wonder if we'll get any more debuts like at the last one (even though that last debut was Metroid Prime: Federation Force) or some other cool prize announcements.

The most recent one was a mix of classic games and modern ones. Presumably this will be in a similar format?

what's funny is, just today at a local gaming convention I met the winner of the 1991 Nintendo Campus Challenge. Supposedly at the same convention was a copy of the 1990 championship cartridge.
