View->View Map is a great feature, especially for dumping entire maps to show to others. Currently (In 2.53 at least, I don't know if this is changed in 2.55 already, hench this thread) you can't disable displaying FFCs though, and I'd like this as a feature next to the other checkboxes. I often set up scripts in FFCs and to make them easier to manage I give them visual icons (that don't show up in-game). They do end up very distracting when I want to show someone a map though.

Why would they not, by default? They're meant to be combos. An option to skip drawing them may not be too hard, but as they are intended to be combos that you can place anywhere on a screen, you'd expect to see them. I'd expect that a flag on the ffc itself (Don't show on map previews) would be the best choice, as it is easy to have ffcs used for decoration, and ffcs used purely for scripts --and meant to be invisible in play--on single mapscreens.

 

Perhaps both options are prudent.
