I don't think so at this point, and I don't know if they have any plans on allowing such functionality. icon_shrug.gif All I do know is at this time, you can completely rework your subscreens to edit, remove, or even add things to it. (Like I added the triforce counter to a dungeon-map subscreen since my quest relies on the triforce, but I needed special screens to switch the user over to an overworld dmap just to make that counter show up) icon_smile.gif

Purely custom subscreens are still bugged... what you should do is take a backup of your quest before you did anything reguarind subscreens, open it up, and edit the 4 subscreens that are already there.. That's how I got mine working perfectly.. That's also how I believe others got it working perfectly. icon_smile.gif

So Sephiroth would there be away to cheat it into having seperate screens by using a dmap? Mostly I would like to have a seperate screen for the map so I can have more room to change the equipment subscreen.

Your clear background works ok on that screen, but other screens that use layers will give you problems, it doesn't show the layers, only the base layer 0 screen.

how do you decode the selectable item, select directions?

I want my items selectable in a certain way, but can't make sense of the numbers
but the position, and all the items I want on the subscreen don't show up in the quest
like the quiver, and I know the Cane of Byrnia is a new item, but is it implemented yet?
because it don't show up either, nor can it be made selectable.

Cane of Byrna is unusable for now. I also don't get how you change the order of the items, like what billy ronald does, since I would like it organized a bit.

Thats too bad oh well. For now how did you insert the arrow counter into the revision 2 subscreen because I'm having some trouble with it.

This is from my Bloodline of Heroes quest (in the works)
it was derived from the BS complete subscreen

I wanted to base mine on the Minish Cap subscreen, minus the fact that it
has multiple pages & bigger tiles.

I also added the arrow counter to the BS complete and can't get the Quiver to
show up though, but the arrows & counter work without it. I also added 2 different
key counters one for DNG specific & one for regular keys, and I am not using the
Magic Key at all. but I still need to figure out how to make the items selectable in the
order I want them to be.

the spot above the Hammer is for the Cane of Byrnia
and the spots next to the HC indicator is for the Quiver & the Bomb bag, when
it works. if not I will use it for something else. I can sacrifice the Quiver if it
don't work on this subscreen base, becasue the arrows work anyway.

That is very well done, shaodowfall. Very well done indeed. The only thing I'd change is having some frames in the passive subscreen as well

Speaking of; How did you get that to work?

the arrows?

if so, all I did was just add the counter in and select from the properties
to register arrows and set it to read zero and made it to show 3 digits
and set the quest rule on for TRUE ARROWS, and it works on the BS subscreen.
I did find out that you will start set with 0 arrows in your INI DATA
even after picking up the item, but if you set your arrow INI DATA for X
amount, they will read 0 until you pick up the item, then it will read (X amount) after


if not, what part of the passive screen?



too I did just find out that the custom triforce frames may be to blame
for freezing up ZC, when you pick up a shard. it just happened to me in my test.

and thanks all, I may just take your advice Gashin, it does look a little plain there

too, I will be changing some of the tiles for the items, to new tiles reflecting what I want
them to be in the new quest....

for example the Ladder will be Hover Wings
and the Raft will become Float Wings (I will set some walls to use raft paths so that it appears
that you float up or down one level, kind of like a slow jump) if I can make the tiles look right.

I mean the passive subscreen itself. I can't get ZQuest to allow me to use one
