I voted for Shoelace. It reminds me of a map NoeL made such a long time ago.

I voted for Chris_Miller cause I have no idea why both the Moon and Earth are in the night sky. Must be on space station or something lol.

this is the best contest in as long as I can remember. I want to play the quest that starts with the bottom shot, has the middle one in the middle and closes with the top shot. I selected Chris Miller's. each shot has its issues, though. the bridge is too two dimensional, the crater has too much plant life and the beach should have one ladder, no blue shell and no trees.

edit: TK's screen would have gotten my vote over all of the ones being selected for "of the year 2013," but it is the worst of the three in this week's contest. it is really close between the other two, for me.

Chapters of Enova is looking really good. Very polished and easy to watch, I bet it will be a pleasure to play the quest only because how visually comfortable it is.

I agree with trudatman that the blue shell is out of place, or is it meant to be out of place? The mountain usage is flawless and that transparent water looks fabulous here.

 

Chris Miller's shot looks like a great ending scene. Very romantic and adventurous. Nice graphics.

Chris Miller's is beautiful; Twilight_Knight's is dramatic. I could easily see myself voting for one of them in nearly any other SotW, but I have to give my vote to Shoelace this time for his smooth, colorful, detailed graphics. Seriously, the water ripples, the shadows, the sand slope, the detailed shoreline... It's downright amazing.

I voted for shoelace, Why you may ask is because it is impossible for anything Shoelace makes to not be suburb quality.

 

Chriss_Miller's shot is also really good.

 

And Twilight_Knight shot is ok, But the ground tiles just seem like there is something up with them.

The blue shell is there in case he doesn't win and needs to take out the guy in front of him.

The random green on the cliffs is kinda bleh..
its a slightly bent line of green pixels, its just un-appealing to me.
If its trying to be moss/just grass spots on the cliffs, a  bit more should be done to it.

Do you happen to be colorblind? I don't mean this offensively at all; rather, I'm able to see larger, darker green patches that the "slightly bent line[s] of green pixels" connect to.

Shoelace. Not only is that transparent water so blue and good looking, he pulled it off perfectly in ZC - and that is something hard to do. The screendesign and the tileset is also gorgeous to. Good job Shoelace.
