word. here's hoping I get more feedback this round. both of my earlier releases fell pretty flat and got so few comments and reviews. rock on and thanks again.

I'm missing something no one else is. Where's Level 2? I found 1 and 9, the sword, boomerang and bombs, but I haven't been able to find anything else.

FerentzRocks, nice to heard from you buddy, its been a while!!
this quest is linear and no way you can miss level 2 just keep going to the left
I think is the one close where you pick the lighter
but don't worry to much about level two, is a piece of cake"
At level seven you'll have to deal with a tough blue gleeok with many heads (I think 50 or 60) real hard!

hehe. you should have enough behind you to tackle those up-to-eighty-head monsters, if you fully explore every screen for an item and a door. I'm very happy about the fact that a few people are trying it. I think people are too scared to explore an early-appearing level nine. good luck!

I can't wait to get a good computer and make a new quest with some fancy tilesets as starting points.

edit: getting to level two requires an act reflected by chapter two's title of SplashDown. I really should get a new computer, a new ZC/ZQ running and convert the silly quest, as I don't have enough free tiles to write over to add chapter titles onscreen.

try it in 1.90, one of you, please!
I would but I have Windows Vista. I can barely run 1.92B183/184.

Anyone here know if and of the 2.5 builds run this correctly?

it's okay, duder. I can't run $#!+ on my gear. I have to load up an old beater just to edit and play in 1.90. thanks for even caring; this community is running strong right now and I like it.

YUp! I got some shots from your quest
All because I have two questions---!
on one of these screens there's a secret passage to the dark side
I entered one time, but can't remember which screen I used ??
the last question how do I get rid from that barrel blocking the door???
.
You can see all pictures ... !HERE!

that door (barrel one) doesn't open, but it does seem like you've been getting nearly everything (most every screen has something, remember)! and, yes, there is a dark world (not pictured; it's an out-of-the-way place that leads there), but I've done nothing with it. I'm hoping somebody wants to collaborate and take that task on. I fear I'll never make the dark world a proper worthwhile sidequest, but maybe somebody else will. quest still needs music, too, so I'm still hoping somebody wants that task, too. GOOD PLAYING, Mayembe! can't believe you found that spot in level six! WHOO! maybe you should delete or obfuscate that picture of level six so our secrets are quieter...

edit: I TOTALLY FORGOT THAT I CHANGED THE WHISTLE! it used to be a boombox. wow! can't believe I forgot that... the items in this game really make it interesting -- I changed nearly every one, so the Flippers, for example, become a Snorkel and Mask set. I'm not sure I like the look of the Flamethrower (Wand) and Fuel (Book), but I like the concept of them.

there's a chapter summary (if you get it all, you are too good) in the first post of this thread (I just edited it into the first post).

if anybody is struggling too hard in lower levels, I have an old walkthrough that probably still is relevant enough to give the coordinates to whatever item you mindburstingly can't locate.

rate my quest, if you can, on its database page: http://www.purezc.co...ge=quests&id=65. the reviews from Pete, InuYasha and Ielen were very much condemnations of short delvings into very old versions of the quest, so feel free to add a new comment, based on the current version. how many posts before you can comment, now?

holler at your boy.

....an awful bug a t the second dungeon, and still the same problem when I enter the bottom door to go outside,--- then when I come back ,,Still got stock !! I means, once inside , link go back to the outside by itself and nothing can be done need to reset the system and start again....

QUOTE(ms_zelda_lady @ Dec 5 2008, 02:58 PM) View Post
Yup that 2nd dungeon bug got me too. It's a pain having to start it all over again.

went and checked every door/dying combination I could imagine in level two and it seems that it's a forward/backward compatibility issue with ZC/ZQ versions.

1.90 is the answer. if anybody encounters ANY bugs in 1.90, holler!

sorry for the double post, I must have edited that last one a dozen times and I want to make sure Carole and Mayembe see this. thanks to both of them for playing this quest in the past and in its current form!

edit: wait! is it Mayembe or Victor?!

I'm playing it in 2.10.2 and that bug was fixed by saving my game. I started back outside with all my progress retained.

BTW, I found Level 2 (and 3 and 4 for that matter). I also found the blue tunic, a better shield, and several hearts. The object of my desire right now is a better sword, but I'm not aksing where it is just yet.
