found 'em. darknuts without shields are tiles/sprites 860-864.

fixed a bunch of stuff and implemented twice as many shortcuts/warps. got that shieldless action looking nice. plenty of small fixes and only a little bit of map expansion. and if you you want to poke around in the file, there's plenty to see about how the end should come. the code is always 723.

I'm hoping to put some work in tonight and/or tomorrow. somebody inspire me. very few people have downloaded the newest demo, which is too bad. there is hard work left to be done, but it is all doable, so this thing will get done eventually.

is it that you REALLY couldn't come up with a reason, or....

so, I figure there may be some newcomers or oldbies around that never checked it out. maybe somebody is like, "hey, what's that?" maybe somebody else is like, "ooh, that's still active? cool. I've been meaning try it. I bet I can provide helpful feedback!" maybe somebody remembers me from years ago giving their testing demo a thorough critiquing review meant to be constructive and wants fuel for misguided revenge. maybe somebody is bored enough to give it another go, a full year later. any of those scenarios that leads to communication could be helpful at this end.

sure! thank you. any encouragement to continue is appreciated. significant blocks of time are infrequent, but I'm trying to work up some of that elusive motivation for when time is available. rock on.

Well of course, but no ones just gonna randomly post after over a year asking if it's still active.

thanks, dude! this one is... different. I wish you weren't insistent on it being "done," first, as I'm pretty sure I'll be making one more "demo" release of it. (even though that'll be like 85% of the whole thing.) it'd be nice to have somebody as caring and thorough as you help at that point, you know? but, yeah, maen... thanks for checking in here. this stuff is all exactly what I was looking for -- just making sure people at least kind of care, so I'll stay a bit more motivated than I am without all of this. soonish!
