I don't know if someone already asked this, there are 119 pages of questions!

Is it possible to use Combo Aliases on Layers? Whenever I try to place one on, for example, layer 1, it just places it on layer 0. Any ideas? Because I reeeaaalllly don't want to place trees and stuff one... tile... at a time...!  :wacky:  :sorry:   :worried:   :aggravated:

Thanks.

when you setup the Combo Alias you can choose which layers to draw it on.

i think the button at the bottom is "Prop" or something like that.  Open it, you'll get the list of layers to include, and the option for how wide/tall to make it.

then when you want to draw on that layer, you can now select it on the right.

hope that helped.  i don't have the editor open, and am just trying to explain from memory.

It didn't work. I checked the box for the layer I want to draw it on, but it still draws it on layer 0! Is it because I'm using the Mac version?

A combo alias can span multiple layers (like a tree on layers 0 and 3). I suggest you delete the alias and start from scratch.

While building the alias, select the layer you want to draw on, and then place the combos that go on that layer.

Then, the alias will always put the combos you want on the layers you set up beforehand.

Does this make more sense?

Setting up the combo alias from scratch made it work. Thank you!
