Through sheer dumb luck I got through it, but here's what I did:
Find the "hidden" fairy spot in the middle, it saves you a few screens of travel when you warp back. It has a "Continue Here" set on the Dmap so it can save you a bit of time when you mess up and get warped back. Whenever I warped back I just hit F6->CONT and was that much closer. You may call it cheating, I call it not breaking my computer from aggrevation.

When you get to the room-
Have your hammer ready
Start by the lower right block, as low as you can without being behind it.
Run straight left and then start hitting up occasionally
Get to the right of the hammer posts
Try like hell to hammer them without getting warped out.
Cuss when you miss it
Take a bottle of Tylenol to relieve the tension headache you've caused yourself.

Cuss again later when he replaces the direct warps with damage tiles instead making it even that much more impossible. If anyone says they zero-gamed this quest without using any cheats or F6->CONT or F6->SAVE then CONT, they are lieing.

Helpful note: When you get to the level with the conveyor and damage combos and you see one that you say "That's impossible to get through without taking damage" just save right there. RETRY will be your new friend so you don't have to keep leaving to get a potion.

F%^&ing conveyors.

I have tried everything to get past those conveyours and I can't seem to do it. I need some help!!

Well, I'm stuck. I had to cross some lava at the left of the screen to get to this room and it looks like I should be able to get to yet another room but there are big rocks with lava in them that I can't get past. Superbomb won't work on them. Any help sure would be appreciated. There is also a room that goes up, but is shuttered. Only 2 places I can see to go.

There should be a switch below the rocks which should lead you to the fire boomerang.

I've been wondering around the Village, Field and Forest for some times. I've got the sword, boomerang and arrow. Can you tell me where can I find the candle please?

First off, buy some bombs. They can be found fairly close to your tent. Then go to the masze and look in a stump. There should be a dodongo there and it has the candle. (At least, I THINK thats how you find the candle.)

Oh, and how the heck do you get past the conveyer puzzle in the desert dungeon? My keyboard keeps locking in one direction due to the multiple conveyer directions and zc getting confused.

Seems like the consensus is that this is a nice quest, but the conveyor puzzle at the end of L3 was a BAD idea. I know I never got past it.

Just started playing yesterday, nice quest so far!
I'm now in level 3 and can't get past the block puzzle. I've hammered down the thing in the middle but can't get further. Of course I've already re-entered the room several times, but that's the maximum of blocks I can move:

What am I doing wrong? BTW I downloaded the quest from the main page (yesterday) and am using version 2.10 build 0 (Jan 1, 2005)

Keep trying, push the blocks around the hammer spot.

There is a walkthrough in an earlier post. But, if you can't beat it-please don't quit, just use the cheat f11, the cheat code is 4. I know that is lame, but I can do that part pretty easily with my gamepad. It probably is real hard on a keyboard.

OK thanks, finally figured it out (didn't know that you could move blocks onto the disabled hammer spot icon_wink.gif).

Now I've just beaten level 4, and a very strange bug happened: After the scene with Zelda I wanted to leave the room to the south. But this didn't take me outside the castle but into a completely dark room - or actually - to a complete, black 8x8 overworld, of which only the upper line was filled with "Zeldas" (you could go to all the scenes after all the levels, even thoise I haven't played through yet). As I couldn't leave this area, I hit F6/cont, but this took me to the room before the lv 4 end boss. So I have to go all the way back through the castle :/
Now here's my problem: I'm totally frustrated with going back through the conveyer belt area (the one right after teleporting back from the room where the big blue spider was). I haven't got any more potions and it's impossible to get through! I keep getting stuck all the time between 2 screens, then I run into spikes even if I press another direction on my pad etc. etc. I've tried for hours now and must conclude that it's impossible!

Could you maybe like PM me a cheat on how to disable those *$#§ conveyer belts? I'm just about to throw my gamepad against the wall icon_freak.gif

I've done lv's 1 through 3 but never found the glove/bracelet so I can't push the blocks in frost point. Also the big chest to the west of the boulder that blocks the bridge in the village doesn't have anything in it. I slashed the thing a million times and got nothing. I was hoping to get the wand or bracelet. Is frost point and lv4 the same place? If not where is lv4? It's suppose to be in the northwest.
Thanks for the help.

To the left of of lv1, in a tree is the second part of lv1.

Never mind on the glove/bracelet. I already found it.
