So, yeah. ZC2.5 final release. Awesome. I wasn't sure if I'd ever see this happen, but it did! Another big round of applause and all that.

I don't know if anyone even knows what I mean when I talk about the issue with windows 8 and ZC.
So I made a video to show the devs.

Lucky I refuse to buy Windows 8.
Well, Its not windows 8 doing it.
I run Windows 8 and I don't have this problem.
Well, it has to be something in the program itself thats causing it.
The only thing I Know its not my computer.

Check to see if you're video card driver's are up to date. That might be the problem. Also, post your video card model, driver version, agconfig file, zc application/shortcut settings, and monitor settings so the devs can check for compatiblity issues with those things and and allegro. Also have you checked allegro log for erroneous output?
I already have the video driver for my Nividia 7800GTX updated.
Its not the video card, ZC worked fine with windows 7/Vista/XP/2000.
I'm not going to bother anymore. Its beginning to piss me off to the point where I don't care anymore about even using or doing anything with ZC.

ZC -> Allegro -> Operating System -> Hardware -> Monitor
It could be any of those 5 things above fault. Even more then one. Heck even all 5.
So do some searching online and hopefully you'll be able to find a solution.

Set ZC to gfx_mode = 2 (windowed), and then set resx, resy to the highest resolution you can in the meantime.

Ventus: It sounds more like a driver/hardware/windows8 problem. It's a fairly new OS so manufacturers haven't had much time to fix the kinks so to speak. Also Microsoft is known to break things and then release patches and service packs for them.
Set ZC to gfx_mode = 2 (windowed), and then set resx, resy to the highest resolution you can in the meantime.
Yeah I was fumbling around with it some more, and It seems to be a Software glitch with 8,
But I'm not going to worry about it, I set my windowed Resolution to the highest setting, and its like having Full screen.
But its not. Anyways Forgive me for my antics
