Okay, so the trick is to look up when he's coming at you from the sides. If you slash, your sword will knock him upwards, into the electricity. Arrows can also work well. As soon as he's being electrocuted, run in and hack away at the heart panel like mad, while you can. Rinse and repeat.

Ha! Got him last night. But like I said, I couldn't tell what combination worked. But I did notice that he appeared to be "stunned" when he got thrown into the electric pillars. Thanks for explaining! (rinse and repeat icon_biggrin.gif )

So somebody else got this bug. I don't know why it happened, but I thought I had fixed it. I'll look into code some mo-

Wait a second. Did you say you killed the robot? That's not supposed to happen... I think I know why that bug's happening now. The way the boss is supposed to be fought, you electrocute the robot, then kill the panel. I never even thought about the player trying to kill the robot. Gah, I'm an idiot. Either way, if you F6 continue, the boss should count as beaten. I'll get to working on that bug.

Edit: That bug has been fixed. You can update the file from the link in the first post of this thread.

Everything is working fine now. Every door is open and kill the core instead of the robot. That snake was really crazy and angry but I was more determinate. I won.

Thanks!

Is this a red herring? Or has my stupidity factor kicked in? I found the one behind the bush. Is there anything else in this room?

Thanks!

I agree, that room is pretty strange :O
But I found nothing else in there.

So, Russ, I've looked around in this quest in ZQ a bit and there seems to be a scene I've not encountered. Or maybe I have forgotten about it? Theres that room in a forest with a giant dino head on the right side of the screen. Where is this in the game? There are some other treasures I've not found either, too. I wish I would have gotten that Heart Regenerator for Dracus, it would have made my journey easier ;D

It's a big red herring; the puzzle is unsolvable. Just get the key behind the bush and you're done. It was Moosh's idea, and I really liked oh.

That scene was unused. There was originally a chase scene, but I wasn't really happy with it, so it was cut. You can still play that part with the goto cheat, and you'll see why I decided it was stupid. There's actually lots of unused stuff in the quest, cutscenes, level, items, etc. You can have some fun playing around with them, but you'll quickly find that most of the stuff was cut for good reasons.

I am in the heavens in the area where you can open the doors by talking to them and doing what they ask. I have fought and killed the assassin 4 times and still the right door doesn't open

Oh Geez, there are 2 assassins, never mind I am killing the incorrect one (that is just wrong)

What that meant by saying you need to strike him down three times is that you need to do all three of the rematch fights against him (Marked "Assassin", "Assassin II", and "Markus"). There are three different rematch fights because you fought him three times in the main story, and he was different enough in each fight to warrant separate rematch battles.

The design of this game is terrible, completely linear and uninspired. On top of everything, the whole game revolves around a boring and confusing storyline... It takes about 15 minutes to get past all the dialogue at the beginning, and the text interrupts you all the time... This game lives off scripts, and while there are some interesting ideas, when the whole foundation of the game is based off a concept that doesn't work, one can only expect the worse.

Sorry, but I can't stand this game icon_wacky.gif Weird gameplay

So, can I ask how you got to that screenshot? It'd be nice to know so I can fix it. Anyways...

QUOTE
completely linear

Somebody didn't get very far. Most of the game is fairly non-linear, with you being presented with two levels you can play in either order. It's only the very first part of the game that's linear. Can I ask how far you got, outta curiosity?

Which concept is that, exactly? Not trying to belligerent or anything, I'm legitimately asking so I can know exactly what you didn't like about the game. The more I know where I went wrong, the more I can fix it and make my next quest better.

Jumping to the north in the clouds... when the green gem appears

I played until i started to control the second character

There are LOTS of text, boring text. At least you would add some method to skip the text for the people than can't stand the story... The level design is very weird for my tastes, it doesn't feel like a Zelda game.

I would like to dwell longer to explain it, but english is not my first language icon_sorry.gif

Whoops. I'll get to fixing that...

Okay. I feel liek that's not really far enough to give a fair rating, but eh.

I guess I could... but the thing is, a lot of times, the cutscenes tell you where to go next. So skipping the cutscenes would leave you asking "Wait, what do I do now?" I could consider it though...

Eh, fair enough I guess. I don't see why feeling different than a Zelda game's a bad thing, but to each his own.

That's fine, I understand. Thanks for taking the time to explain!

Ok, I will try to advance more in the game. I know you've worked hard to create the game. I simply think that ZC isn't prepared for such complex stories.

Edit: Palm island... ouch, I never liked it icon_lol.gif Always it feels empty for me.

I'm at the final boss and he's extremely hard. Since I'm at the end, I will take the time to rate this quest. I will give it a 4.5/5. I really like the Dracus character. He had really cool item. That was a great idea.Being able to stun most of the monster was really cool. For link, I would had hope to get the hammer. Those annoying darknut... I would had hope for a longer game. You put a lot of effort in the graphip part, but we can't go a lot to a lot of places, sadly. Being able to really see the actual map inside a dungeon is a big plus. It was a hard game and I really enjoyed it. I hope that you will make some other games in the future. Well done and thank you for entertaining us, the player.
