I didn't like the idea of the stuffed up heart meter on level 3 - I thought that ruined it.

Yeah level 3 and beyond was where the quest got much easier. I think what I was going for was to put the player in the kind of mindset Liberation of Hyrule does without the insane difficulty. Any hit could be your last, so tread carefully.

And once I got to Ganon and I hit him with my sword blade many times but he didn't go blue. Am I missing something?

My guess is that you're stuck on the first phase in which he doesn't turn blue (because of restrictions I had at the time). Wait for him to remain stunned for longer than usual and shoot him with your silver arrows. Be aware that the Ganon fight is really easy because of changes I made. It was a lot worse on the original IIRC (no blue ring, one heart max, moar bullets).

I don't know why you can't beat AQF and AQ - if you can beat this quest on hard mode I think you'd be pretty much up to the challenge.

See the thing is here I'm on my own playing field. I've played through this quest countless times while testing it. You don't want to see what the original balloon hill was like icon_razz.gif.

I do want to see what the original balloon hill was like - was it completely hard-as? That part was really good.

See, in Liberation of Hyrule, players know that the next hit WILL be their last - so you need to play very carefully. Plus, its a lot more difficult for enemies to hit a skilled player in Liberation of Hyrule - so if you have the skills you can avoid getting hit. But in your quest you have those 360 degree beams from statues which are very hard to dodge.

Maybe you should get rid of the goriya who advises Link at the start of that passage then - or change his advice?

Still can't work out how to beat the Manhandla - why don't you chop off the limbs if they are gone? Otherwise, players can sit there all day throwing swords at it icon_frown.gif

Just finished your quest Poke - it seems like you can't beat the big Manhandla if you've lost the special sword coz the beams don't go through. On the whole a very good quest - just got stuck at the end.

Hello Moosh!

I really enjoyed your game. icon_biggrin.gif So unique in every way; each dungeon had its own cool theme that was completely different from each other. For such a short game, there where a surprising amount of secrets in it.

Are you planning on updating this game, or is 2.0 going to be your final version?

2.0 is the final version unless a future Zelda Classic update breaks everything and I'm forced to pick this quest back up again.

Hey Moosh on more question.

After you defeat Dark Link. You enter a room that gives you a password. At the end it tells you to turn off the power while holding the select button to prevent memory loss. Was that a reference to something, or do you actually do that?

If you actually do that, how would you preform that on Zelda Classic?

It's a reference to the NES- on games like Zelda and Final Fantasy, you had to hold down the reset button while turning off the power to avoid losing your save files.

Yeah don't worry, that's just an old NES reference. Forgot completely that I put it in there. You've done everything there is to do. Congrats, man.

LOL, and I even own the original Final Fantasy for the NES. Great reference.
