I guess I should inform everyone that there is a possibility of a physical relase for this game(if a lot of people want it):

Just posted over there. I would love it if they gave us a physical copy, but I'm not going to hold my breath at the moment. Also, the prospect that just maybe they'll release Investigations 2 is nice. Again, I won't hold my breath, but I do hope it happens. O:

I don't buy it for a minute that a physical copy would delay release in other parts of the world. For that matter I don't see why that's much of an issue when tons of games from big Japanese gaming companies have been released internationally within a couple of days of each other. Take Zelda for instance, the last several titles were released almost concurrently internationally. Except for A Link Between World apparently, but I don't know what's on their brains there.
To be honest I almost would prefer they stick to download-only, if it meant the price was lower. ![]()

Ah, but you're simplifying it too much. With Zelda, they purposely delay the Japanese release date so they can translate it, produce the discs, and ship them worldwide. Here, they're release the Japanese version as soon as it's ready to go, regardless of the status on the translation. So without any physical copies, they can release the English version the moment it's done, whereas with physical copies, they'd have to produce the cartridges, box them, and shop them first, which could add another month or two to the release date.

Not if they plan ahead of time. >.>

Planning ahead of time would mean intentionally delayed the Japanese release. You can't ship a game that isn't finished yet, no matter how much you plan ahead of time. ![]()

I didn't mean for shipping, I mean game development. They could finish the script, then translate it in all languages they intend to (or at least English) and record both versions simultaneously. I know it's too late for that now, but that's a road they could have taken. I don't claim to be an expert, and I know it's a route they wouldn't have taken, since according to Capcom, Ace Attorney isn't popular over here, and that's why they were going with a digital release initially (and might still be). Still, there's things companies can do to reduce time between translated versions being completed, so the "delay" wouldn't last as long.

Well Pokemon X and Y are being released internationally at the same time. I don't know why other games can't do it as well. Why does it always have to be like that? X Country gets Y game Z months ahead of other countries.

I'm a bit late in saying this(since I was away for 2 weeks), but the game was relased in Japan on July 25th.

The game was relased in the eShop on October 24th!

I'm halfway through the third case and loving it so far, though I'm curious about how the entire overarching plot is going to tie together. Also, that first case was probably the best and most intense first case of the series.

I'm really disappointed this game is english-only for the europe version. All the ace attorney games from the 1st to Apollo Justice were translated and now they pass on the translation? ![]()
Oh well, this is gonna be fun reading criminal terms in english >_>
So, yes I'll defintely buy it anyways.
EDIT: Actually I have decided that I will NOT buy this. I don't want to show Capcom that I support their mess. They made this digital-only and non-translated (for europe). I guess I'll just watch the game on youtube or something. ![]()

Ya, I watched an entire walkthrough on it on youtube some few weeks ago and I gotta say this game is incredibly great! But the gameplay aspect has dropped immensely from the previous games. Let me just quote something, regarding the gameplay there, alright?
*) Your character will now keep a Detective-Memoire which will tell you EXACTLY what you need to do next in order to progress
*) Investigating every location is no longer possible; instead, investigation is limited to certain special locations at certain special times.
*) When you fulfilled certain conditions, your character will often move on without you having any control over it, rendering the already rare investigation sequences to abruptly stop.
*) It is incredibly rare that you have to stop a dialogue because you don’t have the right evidence yet, in order to go gather it first.
*) Perceive now only allows you to search the tell at ONE exact statement, making it far easier to spot.
*) Psyche Locks will never require evidence that you haven’t gathered yet to be broken.
*) Perceive, Psyche Locks and Mood Matrix no longer include penalties. Neither does Thought Route, for that matter.
*) If you present wrong in court three times in a row, you can ask your co-counsel for help. They will then tell you the exact statement you need to examine and if you need to present or press it. Emptying the penalty-bar only resets you to the beginning of the last or current cross-examination, not your last save. There is exactly *one* instance of a higher penalty. than 20%.
I mean, doesn't this say everything? Game is easy as hell, but if you don't really see this as a "game" than it's pretty amazing.
