Because Skyrim is CPU intense not GPU intense. Try metro 2033 or the witcher and you will have more trouble.

Metro 2033 and The Witcher at High still runs at 30+ in most cases. The ONLY thing I have to adjust is Anti-Aliasing.

Did you activate UberSampling in Witcher 2?

My GPU is an EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SC Edition. It's a pretty sweet card. It was able to run Metro Last Light on Very High at 60FPS as well as maxing out Bioshock Infinite. I'm surprised that this card only needs one six-pin power input.
