Close. It's simpler than that, Padawan.

Well, I must admit I'm confused. So far, you've said the following are correct: kayak, racecar, label, kitchen, penguin, ballpoint, eukaryote, rotifer, and tornado.

- They all have 2 of at least one letter except for "kitchen".
- They all have more consonants than vowels except for "eukaryote", even if you were to count the "y" as a consonant instead of a vowel.
- All except the last three words have only 2 syllables.

If it's not one of those reasons, then what is it??? icon_confused2.gif I'd say I'm stumped. The lack of further responses hints that others are stumped, too.
(I'm not sure if you can give another hint without revealing the answer?)

Likely you'll get it when I simplify the word.

I'm going to a party, and I'm bringing... pot.

Words that start and end with a consonant sound?? (The only way this works if you say the "y" sound of "yoo-ker-ee-ot"{eukaryote} is a consonant sound.)

The third letter is a consonant?
Then I say consonant.

If klop422 isn't right, I don't know what it is.

Can I bring... Harpo? (Oprah backwards)

The vowel from the last word must appear in the next word.
I bring Hansolo

It's simply odd that no one has gotten this yet.

Heh, well then... I guess you don't want a duplicate of this happening then!

Is it that the word must have an odd number of letters?

Yes. This is the simpler version of what was said earlier. (Guessing compound rules can be dangerous.)

Let me break for now and I'll figure out a few rounds...

One point for Linkus, btw.
