Something like this...I don't think I'll be making an entire ZC tileset moreso than just drawing a bunch of tiles (maybe even a proper 16x16 Link with no cutoff and 8 frames of animation) and posting them here.  I originally just wanted to take Minish Cap dungeon walls and make 16x16 varieties, but no such tileset exists, much less on Spriter's Resource.

I think it would be a great thing to see!

Try VGMaps for some Minish Cap dungeon tiles!

I think it looks too much like the GBC Link and not enough like the LttP one.

I don't see it.  I drew it from scratch right next to the LTTP Link on the sheet from Spriter's Resource as a reference, so I could also color-grab from it as well.  I made sure the height would be no larger than 15 pixels, so that I can use that extra row for his bouncing during his walk cycle.

Yes, a small version of LTTP tiles would be excellent. Just make sure the trees don't have so many black outlines on the trunk, lighten up the shading a bit.

The hair looks a bit weird but the rest really is pretty nice. Good job!

I remember Sludge having a nearly complete set, but I don't think it ever got released. When 1.92 beta 64 came out, I remember seeing a version of Altadd using that tileset.

Regardless, your Link tiles looks damn good. Keep it up.

Oh wow I didn't even see that Link set you did! Incredible work. That Link is the perfect compromise between GB Link and LTTP Link. I was going to start working on a game for the GBA with this concept in mind. I started work on a tileset yesterday. Nice job on that!

So... ahem. Would you mind if I used it to make a GBA Zelda game?

I like it. Would like to use this tileset for a future quest if it gets released

Sure, you're free to use these sprites; this is just for fun and to pass the time.

Spent the longest time trying to figure out how to make his hat bouncing look acceptable for this one though...LTTP's Up facing hat sprites were so awkward.

Maybe it's awkwardness stems from the fact that it stands out too much? I find when writing music, that subtlety is often more powerful than bluntness. Keep the movement, but make it more subtle... light. The effect should put a smile on your face. Subtlety is key in all art.

Not sure what you mean...I barely moved it a pixel in this one, compared to that one Minish Cap animation I did.  Hmm...

Never mind, it would be better to test these animations in game before making any changes, because it might be perfect in practice and as it is. The fact that these sprites aren't moving around on a world map forces us to focus more on the details for one. And for two, we're comparing them to official Nintendo sprites. What I'm saying, is that we're so used to the official Link sprites made by Nintendo, that anytime we see a custom one, it's new and awkward for us. Especially when shown outside of a game. Really I think the grafx are fine the way they are. Putting them in a nice game with nice music and fun gameplay would make them nice to have.
