So, Apollo's been confirmed playable as well, although that was apparently pre-whatever beat up him pretty badly. I'm happy, and interested. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for this to come to the west after Japan gets it.

I'm really looking forward to it. From what it looks like in the trailer, investigating looks a lot more interesting, which'll be nice. Was always my least favourite part of the games. :S

I am very interested now. It was too early to tell from the earlier trailers how the game was shaping. But I am liking this very much (Now where to find $50....................)

I am glad they are bringing back Apollo. Sure he was not Phoenix, but I always felt he got way too much hate. he was decently compelling and AJ was a great game.

Plus if those animated sequences are in game, I will be quite happy :)

Well, looks like it'll be just enough of a change-up to not be a rehash of the first three games, so that's good. Interested to see how all this will play out. Now if Layton vs. Ace Attorney could get an announcement as well...

My friend is a bit unimpressed at the new 3D animations. He prefers the 2D animations with how the characters would snap from one pose to another with no animation, and how the devs manipulated the sprites like making them bounce or wiggle etc. to convey emotions. The older 2D animations just feel like they have a lot more impact.

Yeah... I don't care much for how the game transitioned into 3D myself, they look kind of odd. And yet, in all the gameplay trailers we've seen of Layton vs. Ace Attorney, they've looked just fine. Capcom, why can't you transition your characters into 3D better than a different company entirely?

So, we have new info: The game will release in the West this fall. The game has a name: Dual Destinies. Oh, and there won't be a hard copy form, it will be digital download only.

I'm kind of disappointed about the last part, but I understand their reasoning. The only thing I worry for is whether or not I'll have enough space on my SD card. Might have to get a bigger one, if that's the case... Well, whatever, I guess. At least that article came with the official English translation of the original trailer, complete with the sidekick's name and the new "OBJECTION!" sound clip:

Still looking forward to it, I just need to make sure I'll be able to actually download it.

Historically it’s been tough to attract long term retail support for Ace Attorney titles.

So yeah... that's a load of BS. This is just Capcom being Capcom. They'd better at least be offering it at a cheaper price than a standard 3DS game, seeing how they're not paying for packaging, distribution, and all that kind of stuff.

I watched a gameplay demo yesterday, and I gotta say, the animations aren't as bad as I was expecting. Except for Athena's. Hers were horrifying.

New trailer from Japan's Nintendo Direct today. Not a ton more, just peeks at a few returning features/characters. They should be easy to spot if you're paying attention, but if not:

Confirmed returning characters

Psyche-Locks and Perceive are returning, which makes me happy. Not sure if the characters talking in the courtroom was just for trailer purposes or if that's actually happening in-game. Not sure how I feel about that... mostly because I dread that they picked awful voice actors for the English version. And Udgey doesn't have a voice. :(

Why is everyone talking in spoiler boxes?  If it was something that was officially announced, it's hardly a spoiler o.o.  Especially if there's a link in there.  The link should be OUTSIDE the spoiler box, not inside.

Anyway, I've never actually played a game in this series firsthand.  I've just been watching the cutscenes, and it's almost like watching a movie.  Maybe someone will take all the cutscenes, put them together in a movie form, and make "Dual Destinies:  The Movie" like they've done with other games online, such as Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2.

What got my attention was the new prosecutor. Now I'm curious what their explanation for him is, because even in-universe, hiring a criminal as a prosecutor seems a little extreme for trying to find somebody who can beat Phoenix.
