Since I began even working on a form of a minish cap like ZC tileset a few years ago, It's grown into quite the project, and quite the task! I've gone from one tileset to the next always bringing more and more tiles in, until I landed with the one I'm using now, the BS/MC tile collection, which has since pretty much entirely wiped the BS part. The tileset as it stands now, is complete. Complete in the sense that I now have all the tiles in there, I just need to organize the set, and have some color issues changed and then it will be good for release. Looking at less than a week for release if all goes well!

I want to say that I'm nervous releasing this, I have never made any real contribution to the community and I really want this to be a good one, and a big one! My last tileset attempt some years ago was a Zelda 1 set enhancement (Horrible job). This is quite different, here is some information on the set and a round about list of what is in it.

Tileset History/Info:
This started out a few years or more ago as an idea where I comissioned the community to all get in on a project of an MC tileset, a few of us did try for a while through the topic but it did not succeed at all. I went on to trying it myself with the MC tileset unfinished in the Tileset section of the main page, I also failed. After a long break from ZC, I came back and opened up the release MZC tileset, brought in my older tiles and began work on it again. Through the MZC set I accomplished a lot more, many more tiles and ideas. After growing the MZC tileset quite a bit, the BS/MC tileset was released, I asked Sheik to combine mine and his and work with it, so I did. Now, dozens of rips later, combining almost all the MC tiles released here (that worked for me) into one set, I've completed a very sizeable and I think nice tileset.

Brief list of content:
Most MC overworld ground stuff (grass, grass misc., tall grass, bushes, graveyards, other stone objects, various stone railings/ borders, big and small rocks, MC bushes and other bushes, other ground misc. etc.
Edited WW zero paths, stone paths of various types, different MC fence types, big and small MC chests, MC water, DoR Lava recolored, and so much more)
Also 3 mountain types, the edited WW Zero ones I put in, MC mountains, and ALTTP mountains (for grass and sand use).
Various MC houses and custom houses, Various MC and custom bridges, Stone building tiles (Gerudo fortress like ones, and the tall tower one released by I forget who, also the MC building that leads to the sky's recolored), both MC castle tiles, and FSA castle tiles, custom Great Deku Tree MC style, Kokiri forest tree homes both Link's and Basic, etc.
MC trees, Palm trees, pine trees both with Sheik's custom trunks, and the regualr MC ones.
A good amount of sand tiles for deserts or any other sand area.
Both MC Dungeons Deepwood Shrine, and the Mine dungeon tiles. I may add the Dew temple tiles last minute before release but I do not know. The tripple tripple dungeon tiles by Linkus, as much Dungeon Misc. as I could find the time to add in.

There is a lot I did not add there but you will see soon when the set is released! That is just a decent list so you have an idea of the content inside of the set.

I'll add screens soon, just pages showing some of the tiles, or I may not add screens since there is already so many out there I've been posting! The tileset as I said above, is very close to release and it is no small set, so I hope when it is released you all find it satisfying as many months and hours over the past few years has gone into the idea, the practicing, and eventually this set.

Credits:
Evile and team for MZC tileset
Sheik and team for BS/MC tileset collection
Sepulcher for a couple new palettes, and soon for fixing all color errors kindly!
Various other members for tiles I've ripped in, I can't even find all the names let alone remember them!
Spriters-Resource and many other sites found through google where I found so many of my tiles to rip in, many thanks!
Nintendo for the Minish Cap game, and The Legend of Zelda in general
PureZC and all it's members for their continued help and support, which helped me better myself with the program, and motivated me to complete this.
PureZC's staff for the Zelda Classic program which has revolutionized Zelda fan games in my opinion, all fans owe you grattitude!

Also Pete, glad you're excited!

I'll definitely love using this! Minish Cap has what I think are the best graphics in any Zelda game, with the GBC games coming in a close second.

So, after the initial release, do you plan on continuing with this project? I mean, there should still be Light/Dark Hyrule Castle and at least two more dungeons worth of tiles, unless I'm mistaken and you've already gotten those. Then again, after all the work you've put into this, you deserve a bit of a break.

Oh definitely, after I release this i'll be starting another quest, both with better planning, and better scripting. This quest will also help to grow the tileset even farther, which will most likely, no, definitely lead to a 2.0 version of the tileset with many more overworld, interior, and dungeon tiles.

So, you're close to releasing this? From what I've read, it won't be a good tileset... IT WILL BE AN EXTRAORDINARY TILESET! However, I recommend you add the MC Palace of Winds, or do you have it already? Still, it will be one of the best tilesets I have ever seen. Definitly gonna use this on a future quest. icon_omg.gif

Great idea! I'll add the dew temple and palace of winds before the release, mine as well. icon_razz.gif
Thanks! icon_smile.gif

UPDATE: Overworld fully organized, this leaves me bringing in the dew temple tiles and the palace of the winds tiles for dungeons. This will mean the dungeons will be:
-Deepwood
-Mine dungeon
-dew temple
-palace of the winds
-Linkus's triple triple dungeons
Also there is the goron caves, minish cap house interiors etc.

Then interior and dungeon organization, then release. icon_smile.gif

UPDATE 2:
Finally ripped in the palace of the winds tiles, even took what I could from random tile sheets on the net and recolored them, to make it as complete as possible of course. It has everything necessary to do the dungeon interior screens, as well as outside screens (walkable gates over skies, wall to sky transition tiles, etc.) all of it! Organization now, any more updates will come after the release of this set, which is already very complete.

Though you have been working on the graphics this whole time, it might be cool to include links to certain scripts and such that relate to MC in your release post at some point. I don't even know if things like that flip wand have been scripted, but it'd be cool to have a one-stop-MC-shop so to speak.

Is this almost done already!?!?!!?? I have definitely missed a lot then (the forum rule and bb code updates aside).........

Still from backtracking over some old posts, I have to say it looks pretty good.

Congratulations, it looks great and I am really excited to see it

The tile set itself is completed for the V1 release anyhow, has everything mentioned above and more, enough for a full quest development. I just need to organize it and post it, but halfway through organizing the laptop I was using crashed, I'm waiting to buy a new one and finish that up and release it. Again, the tile set is finished, I'm just stuck at the end!
