I voted for Moo2wo although I do admit that you kinda overdid yourself on the grassy ground.

I like Moo2wo's screen. it's a great pallette and there are also gameboy tiles in this.

All were very good, but I ended up going with Avataro, because I like the idea he has going on there.

Moo2Woo obtained Koh's vote this time.

Avataro: It's a nice dungeon shot, but due to the instant transition of dark green to black, the shutters look totally out of place.

Master Maniac: A standard, well-detailed symmetrical screen. AVOID leaving the corners of the screen open. Try using trees, big rocks, or cliffs at the corners of overworld screens.

Dragonsword: A classic-ish dungeon. Where's the action here?

Voted for Avataro. The elements in the screenshot fit well with the dungeon theme.

I voted Moo2wo. I like the way he mixed the gameboy tiles and and the DoR tiles. Then again, I think the ground tiles should be more varied. Too much grass.

I voted for Avataro. Moo2two's shot was also good, but something about Avataro's just stuck out more.

Nulled of course. This is my first SotW submission if I remember correctly. Everyone looks great though ^^

I like Moo2woo the best, peronally. But I would have used some different Octorock graphics. That particular Octo looks too MC-ish for the screen

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind when I design my "field" screens.

There's actually a grand total of six unedited (well, edited to work with the ground, obviously) original Gameboy tiles in there. Almost everything else uses some kind of update. Oh, and thanks.

I think I might darken the reds on it so it doesn't stick out to much. Or I might rip in the BS Octorock tiles.

wow, i can see already i lost bad. But thats okay, i was just working on some custom classic tiles, and wanted to see how they looked.

Avataro:Aaaack!! kill the spiders!! I do no like spiders, but i do like them included in a quest, good job! icon_razz.gif

Master Maniac: as had been said before, put something (like more of that undergrowth, perhaps) in the corners. and yes, I understand how difficult it is to make a well designed field screen that doesnt end up looking like woods. But my second, bigger problem, is the mountains. I guess i'm really OCD with z3 perspective mountains (i really like them, and think everyone should at least try them), so i have to ask, what exactly are you trying to pull? it looks as though you wanted to avoid doing any height variation/modification/etc by placing a sign over it? dont get me wrong, i like the screen and its concept, though.

Moo2wo: my fingers are tired, so to you, simply: good job! i like it!
