Overview
Information
Two of my favorite things are the Gameboy Zelda games and Ocarina of Time. So I decided to throw them together and took upon myself the pointless task of recreating OoT in Zelda Classic in the Gameboy tileset.

The quest project for OoT Gameboy Demake was opened. | 11 Jul 2017 |
The quest aims to be a Gameboy Zelda demake of Ocarina of Time. The goal is to recreate OoT as faithfully as possible in Zelda Classic with gameplay mechanics from Link's Awakening and the Oracle games in mind. That is to say that the maps will change around quite a bit to accomodate to a top down 2D world and some gameplay mechanics as well as puzzles and battles will have to be reimagined in order to work with that formula.
The scope of the project is sort of undecided yet, though certainly not the entire thing. While it would obviously be great to finish the entire game one day, right now I am focussed on getting everything up to the end of the Deku Tree dungeon down and then to move on to maybe build the entire first childhood chapter of the game (which basically is the quest for the three Spiritual Stones). This is as not to discourage myself with too much of a workload and also so that I will not promise something I won't be able to deliver. I will stick with this as long as I enjoy it. We'll see.

Let me know if you need any of the assets from the version I started. Graphics wouldn't fit, but I've got some custom scripts for it, like my custom song script and all 12 ocarina songs as .wav, it's not as good as a single item doing it but serviceable. Personally, I'mma use what I had with my demake of OoT to give Trials of the Gods a much-needed second chance... Hopefully with a better name...
