Part 1
I'm doing an LP of A Link to the Past for SNES. This is my first LP with a capture device. This video just shows my setup, and all that fun stuff. The game starts in the next section. Besides this video, this is a commentariless playthrough.
Part 2
We make it through Hyrule Castle, and the sewers here.
3:45 - Gameplay Starts.
7:50 - Meet Zelda.
Part 3
We explore a bit around Kakariko village, before heading to the area where the first dungeon is located. We find 4 Heart Container Pieces, two bottles, the bug catching net, and buy some bombs.
Part 4
We take on the game's first real dungeon.
0:51 - Enter Eastern Palace
9:20 - Boss Battle: Armos Knights
Part 5
We take Sahashralah's advice, and check out Lake Hylia before venturing into the desert.
Part 6
Link enters the Desert Palace. I also save for the first time, and can relax if the game freezes cause it seems to be recording okay
7:12 - Boss Battle: Lanmola
Part 7
Here we explore around a bit after the second dungeon, and find some more goodies.
1:45 - Zora's River, and Flippers
4:20 - Upgrading items
7:10 - Enter Death Mountain Caves
8:09 - Death Mountain, and save and quit to get the magic powder.
11:08 - Re-enter sewers for rupees.
14:23 - Death Mountain, for real this time.
17:40 - Enter the Dark World
Part 8
We enter the third Pendant dungeon now. I also get trolled harder than ever, like, seriously, by Moldorm (Troldorm).
7:50 - The trolling begins. After about 5 minutes, I have to cut recording to regain my composure, and give it another (much more successful) go in the next video.
Part 9
A lot happens here. I am able to not suck at Moldorm, and beat it pretty early in. We get the last pendant, retrieve the Master Sword, and defeat Agahnim atop Hyrule Castle, and are drawn into the Dark World! Woo.
1:10 - FUCK YOU, MOLDORM!!!!!
1:54 - Third Pendant, at last!
2:29 - We go to the Lost Woods to get the McGuffin Sword
3:48 - Master Sword GET!
7:30 - Return to Hyrule Castle
11:18 - Agahnim is met!
Part 10
After a quick save, we explore the Dark World for the first time here. We grab a few heart pieces, and a fancy new medallion which I won't be using till later. We also find our way to Level 1, the Palace of Darkness.
Part 11
We get it. It's dark. Wow. So we enter the first Dark World Dungeon, the Palace of Darkness Dark the Darkening. After going through the dark halls we find the first Dark World Dungeon; the Palace of Darkness' boss darkly waiting at the end of a long dark hall way. It's dark.
After fighting the darkness within, we meet the first of the seven maidens, and gain the ability to smash stuff with the Hammer!
7:01 - Find the Hammer
12:04 - Boss Battle: Helmasaur King
13:20 - First Crystal
Part 12
With the Hammer, we are able to explore even more of the Dark World. Here we go around, grab some odds and ends. We get our third bottle here, and take on Level 2.
6:20 - Level 2
15:50 - Boss!
17:04 - Crystal
Part 13
With the Hookshot in hand, almost the entire overworld is now open to us. We're able to find a few Heart Pieces, and we take advantage of this, and enter Level 4 early, to obtain the Titan's Mitts, which allow us to get a better sword, and fully explore the Dark World.
8:20 - Level 4, early.
13:30 - Narrow fight with Blind. Woow.
14:09 - Crystal
Part 14
This is a meaty section where we collect a lot of stuff. I spend a little longer than I would have liked on the digging mini-game, but hearts are nice! We get the tempered sword, the last bottle, the Flute, the Bombos Medallion, and a bunch more heart pieces. We also spend some time at the Pond of Happiness to burn some ruppees, and carry more bombs and arrows. There is no dungeon in this section, but Skull Woods will be next!
9:19 - Digging game starts...
14:31 - The successful dig!
19:20 - Pond of Happiness. This part is boring, and rounds out the video
Part 15
Here we take on Skull Woods. After getting a free magic potion, that is.
3:30 - Enter Skull Woods area
4:20 - Enter the dungeon part
14:40 - Boss!
15:25 - Crystal
Part 16
This is another big chunk of exploration. We round up pretty much everything we can at this point. We find the Cane of Byrna, two more Heart Pieces, the cape, and the Ether medallion. We take on Level 6, before Level 5 in the next section.
Part 17
We grab a heart piece before tackling level 6. I got a bit lost in the beginning, but we get the grips of things pretty quick, and blaze through this place. These Wizrobes are nothing compared to the stuff you see in ZC.
2:25 - Level 6
16:40 - Boss!
17:35 - Crystal
Part 18
Instead of taking on Level 7 (which I tried in a scrapped recording) we go ahead and get real, and go back to Level 5. The other Water Temple before the Water Temple. Since we have the Cane of Somaria from Level 6 though, one hugely annoying puzzle is completely skipped. This is a really good run of the Ice Palace, tbh.
1:20 - Level 5
9:15 - Find Blue Male, and skip huge backtracking puzzle.
10:45 - Boss! (One of my favorites!)
11:33 - Crystal!
Part 19
This is a long one, but we are able to finish Turtle Rock, and narrowly escape Trinexx. We also find the last piece of heart here, and upon beating the boss, fill up our hearts!
1:50 - Level 7
10:00 - Last heart piece!
13:13 - Get Mirror Shield!
19:09 - Boss!
21:00 - Final Crystal!
Part 20
This is a relatively short section were we tie up the last few threads before heading off into the game's final tower. Watch as we get free magic potions, get the best sword, and waste (count' em!) THREE Super Bombs! That's a total of 400 rupees! Who cares?! This is the end-game. But.. I technically did forget to go back to the Pond of Happiness, and max out the bombs and arrows. But who wants to watch that boring slog? We get into Level 8 in the next section.
Part 21
We tackle the last dungeon. I think it's a pretty good run. I kind of forgot how big this place is, but I get lucky af, and we make it through pretty flawlessly. The final bosses are in the long anticipated NEXT VIDEOOOOOO!! Thanks for watching, guys.
2:40 - The Seal on the Tower falls!
9:14 - Armos Knights Rematch
15:09 - Lanmola Rematch
20:00 - Trolldorm Rematch, but he only fucks me three times, and not 30, so that's good
Part 22
Agahnim starts things off right away, but we beat Ganon's ass pretty good at about,
1:52 - GANNNNNNNNNNNMMMMMMMNMNMNMNMMMNMNMNMNMNMMON!!!!!!
3:55 - "Ganon has been totally destroyed!" - Says no one in Hyrule, ever.
13:05 - Games Played
The game wraps up after that with some cutscenes. Link obtains the Triforce, and though, it is never stated what his wish was, it was more than likely to restore Hyrule, and the Golden Land. Or, into theory territory, maybe he wished for his Uncle to come back, and hence, Ganon is able to return in the future, cause Hyrule logic.
NOTE: This game counts save & quits as "Games Played", or otherwise, as deaths. I'm not too happy about this, since I honestly did only legit die once, and that was during an un-uploaded Moldorm fight (I use, I think, two fairies on screen). I saved and quit a lot though, off cam, but whatevs. I love this game, so I'll play it again!
