It's been a while since the last update for this project, and I want to debunk any suspicions that this quest is cancelled or abandoned. It's too far into development to cancel at this point. It's been hit with a series of hiatuses and I want to really apologize for it. Some of these were against my will due to sickness, project deadlines and whatnot. But I'm glad to announce the project is back to its usual development.

So where does that leave it sitting?

Last update I covered the active subscreen being complete... I want to work on it a bit more along with the overworld itself. In fact, I actually went ahead and improved/changed the overworld based on some of the criticisms it got. I also worked a bit more on Spellbound Temple today and would like to finish it off ASAP, specifically floor 2. Then I would like to rework Ancient Waterworks or perhaps work on another dungeon for the time being. Ancient Waterworks has proven to be an ambitious dungeon based on plans.

So basically, I've been improving existing content and with most of it done already, I should be resuming actual progress! I have 3 weeks of spare time to do so. Here's some screenshots (through the power of cheat 4) of several improvements:

Thanks for reading and any continued support and interest I got over the hiatuses!

Here's a teaser (mind the weird MIDI and lag issues):

Nice to see that this is still going strong! The improvements you've done so far look great and I really like the changes you have! Good luck for the future of the project.

I really cannot wait for this project to be completed, Shane. Looks amazing, and would love to play through it when you get it done. ^_^ These improvements are nothing but great. ^_^

Throwing in some snowy area(s) seems like a nice idea, I dig that. Adds to the diversity of the world, good call.

Thanks everyone. I decided to record the introduction which I just completed. Don't mind the slight MIDI and lag issues, my computer is from the stone ages. Added to the OP and project page.

Ah, Final Fantasy 9 music. I'm already liking the music choice.

I'm extremely picky with my music selection so I hope my selection turns out great as I hope it will. If I get permission from someone, I should have a pretty great overworld song.

If I had one word to describe this, it would be... FUCK! BTW, typical of Zelda; nobody can do their chores without asking a green guy with pointy ears to do it. Cause why not? :P (I'm eager to see how the story unfolds, gook luck!) :D

You might consider switching over to the Oracle of X font. Other than that it's a pretty nice trailer.

I'll consider it but the font does happen take up a lot of space however. I guess I'll put more consideration into it.

Spellbound Temple's floor 2 is finally complete, design-wise! Gonna set up its gameplay soon, need sleep first.

Shane; that youtube video. Man, can't wait to play this. It looks more amazing the more refining and touch-ups you do to this quest. Also really digging the choice of music in that intro. Village of Dali is one of my favorite themes to use for a quiet little village theme.
