I have started to play the new updated version of Randomizer Modern and saw that there are 3 new items in the Lost Overworld...Has anybody found the location of all of them?

Just a heads up, I'm moving this thread to Custom Quest Discussion, as it belongs there rather than in General ZC Discussion.

Yep, I've found all of them, they really aren't too hard to find. Oddly enough the items aren't randomized there.

Spoiler

What are the new items? Are there patchnotes? I couldn't find them in the thread of Randumizer.

Well, I haven't played too much of it myself since the update, but by the time I had 5-1 completed, I had a Gold Whistle that seems to send a cyclone in the direction you're facing, not just left and right. There also seems to be a total of 186 items instead of 183 now. Once again, since I haven't dabbled too much into it at present, I wouldn't be able to help much in that regard.

Another change is you get a gold chest icon when you have all items in a dungeon and the dungeon rewards count towards that now.

Not too many new things.  Mostly some enemy changes to slightly increase difficulty.

Gold chest to indicate having found all the items in that area.  Though odd that the end of a level prize also counts in the total, but doesn't count in the final tally.

Now two whistles to decrease the chance of getting screwed later on by Digdoggers.  Also a level 3 Lens and a crown that is technically a level 4 peril beam that makes the peril beam much more useful.

The crown seems to be the best item then. What are the differences between the lenses? Larger circular area of secret detection or less magic cunsumption?

L3 Lens = wider range.  If you stand in the center, you'll pretty much see the whole room.

Crown = sword beams at any health (a.k.a. infinite sword beams)

Not really, because you pretty much will have everything else already before getting this.  And you had to have found the other 3 peril beam scrolls first anyway.

What Pix said and really, by the time you have that anyway, it would more or less just be novelty. I mean face it; the game becomes embarrassingly easy once you have the Red Ring. The Gold Ring just adds insult to injury, especially backed up by Heart Ring L2/L3. Figure with the Red Ring, very few enemies will do more than 1/2 heart to you and Gold Ring with L3 Heart Ring is pretty much invincibility. Pretty much at that point, unless you're just standing there getting beaten up on purpose, you'll never be in remote danger of dying, let alone actually dying.

Honestly though, a lot of the upgrades just feel like novelty. I mean it's nice to have a candle that does Magical Sword damage, but it feels unnecessary. Of course, if you go from no candle to Silver Candle by the end of 1-1, you'll be thankful, but still.

...lost overworld? I don't remember encountering that in my LP of the game.

Any hints for how to get there?

Need flippers first.  In the regular overworld, go to the eastern docks.  With those two screens, go on the lower screen docks and use a super bomb on the far right dock.  Then dive to the right of that furthest dock.  The lens can clarify what and where to use the super bomb.
